Almost there
This game would almost be perfect if it weren’t for the fact that the game doesn’t wait half a second before giving you hints on what moves to make next. Should be an option to turn hints off
Hate the Hint
Played an older version of Treasures of Montezuma on a recent Qatar flight. Loved it, so bought the current version (4) and was so disappointed at the hint feature. It’s so distracting and you can’t turn it off. Ruins the game for me, so won’t be playing and will try to find a different match 3 game. Wish I could buy the original version of Treasures of Montezuma, but looks like it’s not available for current iPhones/iPads.

Want my money returned!!
I was looking for a new game to start and buy . Came across this one and the game only allowed me to play a very short time or buy it so I decided to buy. This game is not player friendly. The boards do not change. The instructions are not clear and do not give instructions for the whole game. You can not pause the game or u loose your spot and gave to start all over. This game is nothing like call of Atlantis but it is pertained in that direction. Lisa Moore

Montezuma 4 is familiar, but a whole lot of fun.

The nimble actions of each combination plus the add-on effects that stack make for a chaos of action that satisfies like no other puzzle game “match 3” I’ve played before. Avidly played each version, gets better and better.

Stupid monster high ad keeps popping up
I want to love this game, but an irritating ad for another game keeps popping up CONSTANTLY! I bought this app and downloaded the other stupid app - and it still will not go away. Please fix this!!! Otherwise this game is a fun match 3 app.

When you get bonus's it's extremely hard to tell what is behind it in order to match it?

I purchased this one but I dislike that you have to play it horizontally I liked the vertical one better it's easier to see and hold on my iOS can you make an option for vertical play

I am a big fan of the Montezuma series. I have every Montezuma game. So I was really looking forward to this one. I have to say while this is a wonderful concept it is terrible in execution. It is very slow and sluggish. You have to wait too long for the board to clear all while the timer is counting down. Compare this to Montezuma 3 and there is a very big difference. I really enjoy the puzzles but it is just way too slow. I would have given it a one star except the concept is awesome.

While I like the gameplay very much the app crashes much MUCH too often. Usually after every other round. That's not fun and not worth even the $2 charge.

I love the TOM series but this one is literally ruined. i mean REALLY bad game.
1. first, there’s ads everywhere!
2. loading bar every single game, every scene
3. 3D characters look like they were made in the 90s
4. the sound of the matching bars sound so awful, why change what is perfect? (you will understand when you try this game)
5. the puzzle graphics are HORRIBLE.
6. more ads!
7. unnecessary gold or frog puzzles that do NOT add depth to this game at all, only frustrations and boredom.
8. Overall, if you bring out a sequel, do not make the game worse. this certainly was a pleasant surprise…in a BAD WAY. i can’t believe it.
you must try it and compare 3 and 4 and see which game is smoother and polished and just more fun. do not purchase this game unless they fix this…but i don’t see any hope. sorry. ruined a lovely perfect puzzle game Alawar.
