Photos you can trust, and a way to find things. PHOTOS - A photo you take now shows up straight away when you add a whisky. It was being saved properly but shown as a drawn bottle, which looked as though it hadn't worked. - Every photo you take in the app is also saved to your own Photos, at full size — so it is never only in our hands. The app asks once, and works the same if you say no. - If a photo can't be sent — no signal, a dropped connection — the app tells you and offers to try again. It used to save the tasting and quietly lose the photo. - A tasting's photo can now be added, changed or removed afterwards. - Choosing a photo from your library is much quicker, with no cropping step in the way. BRING IN A WHOLE SHELF - Photograph a shelf of bottles at a show, import the lot at once, and name them when you get home — they wait in My Whisky, under Drafts. Importing is free; you choose which ones to identify, and the button tells you what it costs before you tap it. FINDING THINGS - Filter by country, region, type, distillery, age or strength, in Discover and in My Whisky. Everything you have filtered by is shown above the list and comes off with one tap. - Search your own tasting notes, not just whisky names — the one that tasted of bonfires is findable again. - In My Whisky, one set of filters works across Tasted, Wishlist and Collection, and each tab tells you how many of its own whiskies match. CLEARER ABOUT YOUR PHOTOS - Creating an account now shows you what you are agreeing to, with both documents a tap away. - When you add a photo as a whisky's picture in the shared catalogue, the app says so where you add it: other people will see it, without your name, and it stays. Your own tasting photos stay private and are deleted with your account — and before you delete an account, the app tells you exactly how many of your photos the catalogue is showing. - You can take a picture off a whisky you added, which wasn't possible before. - Whisky from outside Scotland no longer gets offered a Scottish region.
