Cloud services don’t work, essential

Would be a 10/10 otherwise

Loss of content

As a purchaser of the original, full version a number of years ago, I was glad when this new version informed me I could still access the full game I had paid for by re-downloading it. As other reviewers have noted, however, it is not possible to download the earlier version, and my access to the content I paid for originally has therefore been taken from me.

Waste of Money

I bought the full version as I loved playing the game on my pc and figured I’d buy it to play at work but it took the full version away for some reason and when I try to restore purchase it just does not work.

Not very good.

Thought I would at least try the first few free hours, but didn’t even make it through those. The card game attack is not interesting to me at all.

Bought the game once and have to buy it again?

I previously purchased the premium version of the game before it was pulled from the AppStore and replaced with this one. The app is nice by telling me to go to my purchases and download the previous version but that version is just not available anymore and isn’t accessible in my history… Probably because it has been entirely purged from the store. Unless this app in particular is specially hidden from my other purchases, I just feel scammed of £10 at this point and don’t even want to give them more money…

Already purchased

I own this and now gog is telling me to buy it again. I’ve followed up with Apple support. Following a re grant of purchase the app still doesn’t work. Given the lack of developer response here I will be contacting cdpr directly for resolution.

Game is broken

2nd battle without training wheels me I’m literally up 80 points and it’s automatic defeat every time when I get to 1 card, makes no sense, happened multiple times, this product has been abandoned

Gwent was fun, this is not

The game is basically a series of puzzle Gwent matches. That seems like a fun idea, but the puzzles feel like they’re designed to require a very specific set of actions and cards to win, so the match is less about clever strategy and more about frustrating trail-and-error until you find the exact series of actions required to win. To make things worse, each match starts with random card draws, so if you don’t have the cards you need you can lose before you even begin. But the final straw is that your AI opponent seems to have a massive advantage over you in every match, like you’re a beginner playing against a pro, so you never just lose, you’re crushed in defeat every time in a way that makes the game feel impossible and hopeless. Gwent is a great multiplayer card game, but unfortunately this single player spin-off just feels wildly unbalanced.

CONTROLLER SUPPORT

I would like to play with option of no touch screen on my backbone

Needs offline support

Dear Devs, I would buy this if it came with offline mode and controller support.

Very Fun and Enjoyable Story and Gameplay

I don’t understand the negative reviews. I’ve played all the Witcher Games, and play the separate Gwent game. The story telling of Thronebreaker is really good. Some of the puzzles are pretty challenging and most are fun. The story battles can be difficult, but are always enjoyable. One solid play through is roughly 60hrs of gameplay. Definitely worth the $10 price tag

Frustrating, game breaking bug.

I was excited to play this game, however I am stuck on the very first level. I win the first Gwent game and then the button to end my turn does not work; preventing me from progressing. I have restarted and tried again, only to encounter the same bug. I was considering paying for the full version, but if the bugs are occurring at this game breaking level then I can’t. Please fix this!

Amazing game

Best game ever, worth the money. I’ve been playing it on and off for 6 months and still haven’t finished it but enjoy it so much. Definitely invest in this!

The best

I have never played card games, but I love The Witcher and I really liked this game. Probably the best game I've ever had on an iPad. Thank you CDPR!

Error

Download this several times still couldn't play it Why!!!

No Offline Play

This single player game can’t be played offline. This is a huge bummer when trying to play while traveling. Please change this so I can play the game. Thanks

STILL NO GWENT REWARDS

I’ve googled over and over trying to find out why the rewards won’t transfer to my gwent account.. I’ve clicked multiplayer and linked through Facebook, the App Store, and the game login but nothing ever shows up.
I don’t think I’ve read of anyone who successfully got the rewards to transfer?
With such a big incentive that has obviously had difficulties for quite some time, why has it not even been addressed?
As far as the game, other than hoping for a wider variety of core deck mechanics and potential cards which is made is compensated by the presence of the story, I can’t really complain. Game gets a 3.7/5… but not addressing the transfer of gwent rewards is a big deal.

No offline

Decent game, but it’s absurd you cannot play the main storyline offline.
