Wasted money

The ad is better than the app. Don’t bother everything here is better in a simple GOOGLE SEARCH!

Very Nice Topographic Maps

Thanks for the cool app! If there are any updates to the maps it would be awesome to have them. Anyway the app in its current state is very good.

Update

Please can you look at an update reference Countries Name Changes. Thank You

Please change the font

The World HD is exactly what it says it is, a World map. It has sufficient geographical detail to understand the topography of the country (terrain, water bodies, rivers, cities, main roads,…). Behind the map each country is linked to the CIA worldfactbook database providing a plethora of data to compare countries with each other.
But PLEASE change the font used for the place names. The letter T drives me crazy!!!

Disappointing

You don’t continuously scroll like spinning a globe. This is just like a paper map with edges. The whole zoom thing really doesn’t work like it was described. The font doesn’t even resize. If you want additional zoom, you have to pick a specific country.

Very ordinary

If you download 2 photos from Google image search and use zoom, that is about what you get with this app. Except you save £3. I could choose better myself, and get lots more in number. Quick access is all you get for your money. The photos look low in detail on their own advert - and are when you buy it.

Great

The only usable atlas available offline. Great tool for airline pilots to put more detail into their announcements. There is one downside though: a bit more detailed maps would be an advantage.

Great atlas

Offline map of the world and a map of each country together with lots of information. Great.

Missing Key

There doesn’t seem to be a key as to what various symbols mean.

Used Everyday!

Excellent offline Atlas. Enjoy the raster image format and how the countries are broken down into individual maps with greater detail once tapped. I use this everyday at work and it provides exactly the information I require every time. I bought this in 2017 and over the last 5 years it has more than justified its purchase price.

Fantastic App

My go-to app for world geography. I have become obsessed with Worldle and use this app all the time to learn more about the countries I’m identifying through playing that game. Really lovely to look at and easy to use. My one (minor) issue is that the search function takes me to a list of countries from which I select the one I’m interested in; I can’t see a way of searching for a specific city or other feature, although this might just be my incompetence! The graphics are beautifully rendered and the information really useful. Thank you!

Map needs updating

The app is relatively good at what it does, and more convenient on the iPad than some alternatives. The rendering of the maps seems generally rather good, however there seem to be some inconsistencies especially with the political maps. (For instance, the states of Mexico are sharply demarcated but not the states of Australia or Germany or the provinces of Canada.)

In addition, the map presently seems to have some outdated information, for instance “Mount McKinley” in Alaska instead of the correct and official name, Denali; also, it draws the International Date Line through, rather than around, the nation of Kiribati.

Could be useful - Just an atlas nothing more

I can see that it is not the most high tech app, however I feel I have to defend the app a little. For me, I was looking for exactly this app (would have been better if I could use a zoom feature all the way down to the city level), but it shows me the globe, it shows me the map of each country when I click on it (it shows up like good quality scanned pages in an atlas) and it is an one time purchase and totally works offline. Shows the terrain, rivers, lakes, cities and many more. So its just an offline Atlas, nothing more but it gets the job done

Language

I wish that we could switch to have commonly used English names for the cities. I use this to increase my knowledge but it is often hard to find the cities, rivers or even small countries as they are only given in the native language.

Very good atlas but…

Very good app but I would have liked a little bit more details when you focus on the chart of the country you are looking at.
Like more cities names, rivers names, mountains names,…
I understand that it is not a MAP app, but more details would permit to learn more about the country….

The only atlas I could find that doesn’t need to stream online.

I’m a pilot, I fly all over the world, and there’s nothing like having a good proper atlas to to see where’s where and so on. I think this app is excellent. I particularly like the fact it’s downloaded and thus can be used off line - for obvious reasons in my case, 🙂, but I use it at home too. I’d recommend it to everyone.

Very Useful

Very useful. I don’t care, personally, for the typestyle, but I use the app just about every day for world events.

Railway lines.

Sirs, I have recently sent an email requesting the inclusion of railway routes. I’m hoping this will be possible.

Where’s the rest?

The maps are fairly detailed in terms of countries and cities, but that’s it. Provinces, counties and many bodies of water are not identified. Those that are, aren’t always clear. Yet another map app that leaves me wanting.

Solid App at the Right Price

Quick to load and access, lots of detail, and no online access required. Definitely going to be my go-to world map from now on.
