No Xi
A cultural site without jarring politics. Could use information on pandas
Passionate about telling China’s stories to the world
The World of Chinese Magazine is by far one of the most dedicated, passionate publications I’ve read on China’s stories. They teach me about China’s tendencies, personality, culture, news, and issues, and are committed to giving their readers a wonderful experience both through web articles and the associated merch and print magazine issues. I have a few myself and love the art on each mag, totally displayable!

Great app
Whether you’re an enthusiastic learner, a seasoned China expert, or just someone with an inquisitive mind, The World of Chinese caters to all. It has become my go-to source, and I find myself eagerly anticipating new content releases.
A different view on China
TWOC is one of the oldest magazines in China that’s still committed to presenting the country in a different way than you get in either mainstream Chinese or foreign media, and it’s great to see it going digital. I like the improvements to the design of the app (mobile phone version).
Fantastic app for news on China
A lot of great content regarding Chinese culture, language, society, and everyday life in the country.
A great source of information on China
If you're somebody who wants to learn more about Chinese culture, language, society, and recent news happening in the country, then The World of Chinese should be your go to source!
I’ve been wanting to find a magazine like this for months!
Happy to have finally found it. Content is great!
Great content, mediocre app
The magazine is fantastic, and the regular posts are interesting and informative. But the app on iPad, which I feel is the most natural place to expect readers to read the magazine, needs a significant amount of work, both on the design side and the technical side. I think the app should open to the magazine, or have the magazine accessible more immediately - especially on iPad, opening and having to tap through to get to the main reason I downloaded the app isn’t a huge hassle, but is annoying. I imagine most subscribers feel similarly.
My main gripe is that if I open the app in landscape on iPad, it will open in a vertical view - this would be fine, if it did it properly, but instead half the screen is black and the only way I can get it to open with the proper view is to force close the app and reopen with the iPad held vertically.
Like I said at the beginning, I think the content is great and really interesting and I’m happy to subscribe. But the app leaves something to be desired.

At last!
Had subscribed to the print version before, and now finally moved to the digital. Still love all the stories and really enjoying the extra themed issues you guys put out.
Keep it up!

An amazing magazine covered Chinese culture stories
I cannot help adoring this magazine, with appealing cover and interior design (how they can create such an amazing design by using Chinese Red color? Please tell me more!) . Each issue can be a collection in my magazine shelve. I really believe that the magazine enable to offer users a wonderful tour in Chinese culture by reading its stories and photographies. Keep tuning pages, I’d like to be infatuated with China Dispatch magazine!
