Zero customer service
Annual subscriber having just paid $50.99 subscription fee yet an locked out of new issues posting since my renewal. Multiple requests to correct issue have gone unresolved. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS ENTITY. Unless you’ve got money to throw away into the ether. What a disappointment.
So annoying
I have this apps for a long time now, living in Canada was so hard to get the magazine or getting it like 2-3 month after everyone so i went digital. I also had the crazy and gold, which stopped to be supported and now are under the same apps, which keep bugging. It is so frustrating to open the app, see the first page of magazine and trying to scroll down to see older magazine and apps keep load and doing nothing. Really don’t say it is new and under development when this has been here for more then 3 years….. trying to save tree and space some time isnt fun at all, and not usefull specially when you buy all the stuff and now you can’t even open the magazine…

In app purchases don't unlock content, spent over 100$ and nothing unlocked. Followed in app directions and tried restoring purchases and contacting support.

I have been trying to both download the free issue (no. 325) and purchase an issue but I keep getting an error message as follows: Error Purchase failed. No issue was purchased and no transaction initiated. Please try again I have enough storage space and a strong internet connection. Help!

What reason to make register system just to see back issues?
Poor service lost all purchases made in App
Don’t buy or use.. lost all previously purchased magazines. Customer service unresponsive. If you make an in App purchase, you are wasting your money
App update
Update: I’ll give it one more star because there is now a printer icon. However, there is no ability to use the full AirPrint function and print to a PDF so worthless to me. I could do that before the update even though it was 1 page at a time. I’m back to screen shots to GoodNotes so I can zoom in and mark off.
I was excited about the update because of the printing. I could print but just 1 page at a time so figured I would be able to print the entire pattern. App updated and now there is NO printing function. There is also no Read Mode that was described in the email and the App Guide - just a table of contents. Magazine is still great. Severely disappointed in app.

Never a response
Never get a decent response - I cannot access the back issues of this magazine that I have paid for. I email and the response doesn’t help. The people don’t want to help and I cannot get my subscriber number. Fed up

I thought I’d download a digital magazine instead of buying a paper one, where a lot of the content may go unused. I wish I’d never bothered and I feel I’ve wasted my money. I can’t open the magazine on a Kindle Fire. And since the recent upgrade there’s now no option to print from the magazine (i.e can’t print patterns) and the links have gone so you have to scroll through each page until you get to the one you want. I’m really disappointed. This could be so much better.

Great app, beware of updating
My only gripe is my experience with updating the app.
I love the magazine and have the full catalogue of issues, and had recently downloaded them all to ensure I could read them whenever I like. I had quite a few bookmarks too for the patterns I’d like to do in the future. Upon updating, the app has deleted all of my downloads and all of my bookmarks so I have lost everything. Very frustrating!
All that being said, for those considering getting the app and digital issues, the magazine is great and the app is very readable, with nice features such as being able to tap in key areas to flip to pages of interest. With the new update there is also now a search feature which is very helpful.
I recommend the app, old users should just be wary of updating if they don’t want to lose bookmarks and downloads.

Needs the return of the bookmark feature
I’ve only given his 3 stars, though the magazine is brilliant. When I first started using the app it had a bookmark feature which allowed you to create your own names for pages you wanted to bookmark and then put them into categories you could also name yourself. This was an absolutely brilliant feature if you’re an avid stitcher and need to find patterns for certain events quickly. Without being able to name your bookmarks or categories them the feature is next to useless. I complained about it’s removal at the time and was told it would be coming back but that unfortunately hasn’t happened. Please please bring it back this would make the app a five plus star rating easily.

Really loved this format. Only issue is since the upgrade this will no longer open on my iPad and the other device I have doesn't access the free content I gained with my first subscription. Not good at all
A treasure
I am an American that found cross stitcher by accident about 10 years ago in print form. When our local bookstore closed I was unable to find the magazine anywhere. That’s when I discovered the online option. I still look forward to every new issue with excitement! If you’re a stitcher, or just love to peruse pretty things, you won’t be disappointed.

Love the fact that you can get old issues. The only problem is you don’t get the bonuses. I wish you told us that up front because that was the reason I bought that issue and then I didn’t get the bonus 😔now I have to try and find it somewhere else.

I love this magazine in print but can’t reliably get it in stores here in Canada so I decided to try a digital subscription for the first time. I was charged $59.99 CAD and I only have access to one issue. I have sent numerous emails and have only gotten the generic email, telling me to check the FAQ for assistance. I have tried everything to figure out why I can’t access the new issue and nothing is working. I was willing to pay $59.99 CAD for 13 digital issues but I certainly am not willing to pay that for one digital issue. They don’t even have a toll free number to call them. If I call, it will cost me a lot of money and I’m already out so much. I want my money back or I want access to the other issues! Beware, if you buy this app and encounter problems, there is no support!

Great magazine for all stitching levels
I just started cross stitching 4 months ago. I’ve learned so much from this magazine. There are always tons of projects that are great for beginners and well-seasoned stitchers alike. The digital subscription and purchase of the back issues is absolutely worth it!

Love the app and being able to browse all the past issues for a rally great price. However! I’m finding I can’t read the issues that have downloaded only the ones yet to be downloaded. If someone is able to look into this it would make my day 😁
