Needs heavy improvement
Fixed layout that seems to be designed for small phones. Can’t adjust size of pictures when listing articles. No landscape mode on phones.
Many sections just load the website which bugs you to open the app at the top, really? Video section is just embarrassing. Very few good content. Weather section doesn’t appear to allow local rain forecast based on gps positioning, only seems to select city.
Can’t subscribe in the app through subscriptions which makes me wonder how difficult it will be to cancel.

The app hasn’t been updating sports stories.
No search function for articles
Worthless. No search function. I pay for a print edition subscription, yet am unable to access more than 10 free articles through the app. Totally frustrating to use.
Reading The Gazette on an iPad
I used to be able to read articles every day, and now I am limited to two articles per day. I don’t understand. I am a lifelong Iowan who because of my age and chronic lung disease had to move to Illinois to be with my children, but I still like to follow what’s going on in Iowa.
Seriously?
I check the news maybe a couple times a month and now you want $15 a month to do that? I think not. I’m not going to read news daily so that much is absolutely outrageous. Learn how to add advertising to offset charging users who might only read a story or two a week. Also a weekly or monthly limit on stories would be logical instead of just blocking occasional users from news.

Deleting App
This app has started limiting the articles I can read, and now it is asking me to except the cookies for California Consumer Privacy Act. I can not even see the obituaries without clicking accepting the cookies. I’m very disappointed. I am canceling all services through the Gazette.
Skips back up. Hasn’t been fixed
It’s virtually unusable on an iPhone. As you scroll down through stories or obituaries, it jumps back up the page.
Bad app
I had to re-download this app because it has never scrolled properly. Now the app will not open pass the notify me screen and it will not let me select anything even on the notify screen very bad app.
Constantly jumps to the top
Poor design. It’s impossible to scroll down through stories without the app glitching and sending you back to the top. Makes the app kind of worthless.
Lack of support
Randomly rests while scrolling. Has for years.
Keeps refreshing
I just started getting the online Gazette and the mobile app doesn’t work very well. It’s constantly refreshing, and then it goes back to the top and I have to scroll all the way back down to the bottom. Also, the ads are the same through the whole feed hope this helps you.
Terrible
Articles keep jumping back to top of page constantly, very difficult to pick articles to read. Very distracting web page design. Only site that has this problem.
Glitches
The app is constantly glitching, I will scroll down & then it glitches & takes you to the top of the page. I can not ever get further then the 3rd or 4 the 4th obituary with out it going back to the top & restarting, I give up on your app. This has been going on for months
Scrolling issue
When scrolling down on the app it will "reload" and take you back to 3-5 articles above where your already at. It's a never ending scroll and you see the same 5-6 articles.
Glitchy, unusable
While scrolling down to read stories it will suddenly go to the top for every section. Haven't been able to read stories/ use this app. It's been the same for as long as I can remember. Please fix it!
iOS Scrolling
Whether on my iPhone or iPad, when swiping up (scrolling down), the page jumps back to the original point. This issue happens in the Obituaries section or in the Latest News section. It gets frustrating when trying to see all of the listings or when scrolling for a specific item.

Please fix & keep previous obituaries accessible in the app, not just today’s.

Programming
The site keeps flipping back to previous stories. I seldom get to the end because of this programming glitch.
