Theoressa

Theoressa is a music theory companion for players and learners. Pick any root and scale and see it on a piano keyboard, a guitar fretboard and a staff at once, hear it played, and read which chords it contains and why. WHAT YOU GET • Scale Explorer: every major and minor scale, the seven modes, pentatonic, blues, harmonic and melodic minor and more, from any root, with sharps or flats. • Keyboard, fretboard and staff diagrams that update together, with left-handed and clef options. • Chords and progressions: diatonic triads and sevenths for the current key, chord detail pages, and preset progressions you can transpose and play. • Intervals: names, sizes and sounds, with playback. • Sampled piano playback for every scale, chord and progression. • Self test: quizzes on scales, chords, intervals and keys, with your progress kept on the device and a retry of the questions you missed. • Learn: 20 short lessons, a glossary and an interactive circle of fifths. • Free chromatic tuner: a chromatic mode for any instrument or voice, plus presets for guitar (standard and drop D), 4-string bass, ukulele and violin. OFFLINE AND PRIVATE Everything is bundled with the app. No account, no sign-up, and nothing to download later. The only network use is for ads in the free version and for your subscription. The tuner listens through the microphone on your device in real time; the audio is never recorded, stored or sent. FREE AND PRO The free version includes a set of roots and scales, the tuner and the lessons, with a small banner ad. Theoressa Pro unlocks every root and scale, every chord and progression and the full self-test question pool, and removes ads. Available in English, Turkish and Spanish.
