Suggestions
I’ve been using theri.app for a while, and I think it has a lot of potential, but there are some things that need improvement.
First, I think users should receive a warning before being banned (unless it’s for something very serious. Sometimes people make mistakes without realizing they’ve broken a rule, and a warning would give them a chance to correct their behavior.
Second, I think all dating groups should be removed. I’ve seen groups with age ranges such as 9-16, which is a very large age gap. Apps with a lot of younger users should prioritize safety and avoid encouraging interactions that could put children at risk.
Another issue is the limited selection of animals. There aren’t many animals to choose from, which can make it difficult for users to accurately represent themselves.
I’ve also noticed a lot of strange users who seem to target younger members and encourage them to move conversations to other social media platforms. This is concerning and should be monitored more closely to help keep the community safe.
I have also seen some users talking about harming themselves or expressing thoughts of self-harm. I think there should be a report option specifically for situations like this so users can quickly alert moderators and help those individuals get support when needed.
Finally, the calling feature can be unreliable. Sometimes when trying to join a call, it redirects to a Chrome page. When pressing it, the screen can go completely black, making the feature difficult or impossible to use.

Theriotypes!
PLEASE do not separate theriotypes like that if you SERIOUSLY want us to choose from a list. There are so many animals in the world so why not make it broader, like Cat or Feline instead of black cat? Mustelids? Vivverids????? Where are they? Moths? Cant you just put insect instead of ladybugs and butterflies, and moths if you add it (if it’s not already there)? Theres other arachnids than just spiders and scorpions, too.
Or, at least make us write our own, one in each box and users can “collect” the ones that we wrote, instead of the list you gave us?
This is really limiting, as a polytherian with a lot of theriotypes, some of them being rare like the banded linsang or the ribbon eel.

I wish the rating was 9+ because there are young Therian under 13!
Good Concept, Bad Moderation.
I love this app. It's creative, unique, and nice for meeting some friends who relate to me. But the moderation is AWFUL. There is no warning system to getting banned, you say one wrong thing and you're gone. And there are people easily bypassing the 13+ rule. I've seen way too many 9-12 year olds on this app, going unpunished. Also this may just be a me issue, but the Moonlit Hunt minigame causes my phone to lag out and even crash after ending the game. Would love if the games weren't so buggy. Anyway, TLDR, it's a good idea for an app but it's so poorly moderated.
