The one

I love the style and how that app work it’s clean and simple mind map.

Wish the dev would keep going with this app

I tried this app a while ; LOVE how it works, but not enough instructions and felt the app needs more work.

If this app is properly developed it would become an absolute favorite. It works in a very unique way which breaks neccessary freeform creative design at the digital level, bringing me closer to the comforts and conveniences of working with actual index cards or sticky notes without the limits and inconveniences of them.

app is bugging out, did I lose my work?

Tried to contact developer for app support, but was directed to a website with no option for support or contact in general. About a month ago I opened the app and it immediately crashed. Repeated with same results over and over again. Deleted and reinstalled, and for a moment my account was recovered. But, alas.. after a brief moment the app crashed in a different way.. the screen turned grayish like it was a dim extremely blurred image of maybe a landscape of some sort viewed by myopic eyes through blackout sunglasses. Nothing else on screen. Loved the app when it was working... but puh-LEEEEEZ tell me the saved work I had isn't gone forever into the ether.. will update rating accordingly as appropriate. thanks.

Response from developer

Hi there, sorry to hear that you encountered problems with the app. We are currently working on resolving these crashes and hope to release a new version soon. Please contact us at basti@thinkfield.li and we will try to restore your data.

Unexplained login requirement

Without any explanation as to why I need to log in (Is this app secretly SaaS, and requires an outside paid subscription? Are they collecting user data to sell to 3rd parties? Nothing is made clear.) and no real opportunity to use the app or see what it is capable of (there is a “tutorial” which shunts you to the login screen after three taps, interrupting its own interface/explanation with a pop-up before you can see what’s happening), this app jumped immediately to an inescapable login screen. On the signup tab of that pop-up, the link to the TOS goes to a 404 error; looks like a scam. Possibly just poor communication & UX design, but right now it looks very shady and results in a very frustrating and untrustworthy experience.

Response from developer

Hi there, first of all sorry for the delay. The app is indeed SaaS and we need you to login to synchronize between devices. Soon we will also enable realtime collaboration, which is another use case for which we need you to login. We dont require any payment, nor are we selling your data to 3rd parties.Sorry for the inconvenience caused. We hope that now it is more clear why we need you to login. It is not about your data, in contrast, we require login only to improve your experience with the app. If you have further questions or comments, please do not hestiate to reach out to us.Thanks for your feedback. Surprisingly good

So traditionally the mind map starts from one point and goes spread like a tree. However, when you first started, you probably won’t have a clear logical understanding of the topic so you can’t draw a mind map, and sometimes you don’t even know how to start a mind map. More commonly, your idea will be like this... lots of cards, lying on your think field, isolated from each other... but suddenly you see the connections among them and now you can draw the mind map.
So this app is surprisingly good!
