Reading with a guide
I’m the kind of reader that enjoys a used book with other people’s notes and highlights - I get a slightly different perspective and the interaction encourages me to pause and think along the way. But I don’t often encounter those books, the commentary is hit-or-miss, and I don’t get to engage with the previous reader in discourse.
