Threadline: Needle Game

Threadline is a game about one thing: keeping a steady hand. A sewing needle travels across an endless strip of fabric. Hold your finger anywhere on the screen and it dives. Let go and it rises. That is the whole control scheme, and you will understand it in about five seconds. The skill is in the timing. Stitch points drift past above and below the centre of the cloth, and you have to thread the needle through each one. Clip the edge and you get a stitch. Pass through dead centre and you get a Perfect — worth more score, more Thread Coins, and a noticeably crisper little tick under your thumb. Miss, and your combo takes the hit. Miss three times in quick succession and the thread snaps. HOW IT PLAYS • One touch. Hold to dive, release to rise. • Perfect stitches build a rising melody as your combo grows. • The fabric speeds up and the patterns tighten the longer you last. • Waves, zigzags, long sweeps and quick flurries — and every single pattern is generated to be physically possible. If you are precise enough, you can hit it. • Misses expire after a few seconds, so one bad patch never ruins a good run. • Restarting is instant. No loading, no waiting, straight back in.
