Very frustrating
Welcome to our new app, which takes away the online access to the last TEN YEARS magazines of my paper subscription. Felt I didn’t need to keep the paper copies, as I could refer back to them via the app.

App
You never know if you will have access to the magazine or if the previous editions will show up when opening the app. Takes a lot of time and work to get everything back to how it’s suppose to work. Once you open your magazine, it a great reading experience though.
Every upgrade erases Access to previous issues
I have been a subscriber since 2008. When this app came online, it was slow, but at least I could find my Content. With every upgrade, my previous purchases have disappeared. Is it fair that I should have to re-purchase all of my previous issues with every upgrade?
Worked at first
I have a paper subscription which is supposed to include digital access. It seems to have locked me out after sending in my renewal. Now I can only see one magazine even though I should have at least a year and a half of magazines to access. Very hard to get support!!

No history
I am a very longtime subscriber and user of the previous app. The new version has not saved any history of my previously downloaded magazines. There are also only the 3 most recent magazines to download; you cannot search by issue # (eg. #218 or summer 2022). The explore function comes up with only 4 articles and there is nothing in my library archives. I do expect to have access to all the issues since the beginning of my subscription period but this is far from what is currently offered.

Your update works great if you want to shut out your subscribers. I have a subscription where I get a hard copy and a digital. I love having digital so I can travel with it easier. But now I’m locked out, cants see any of the issues and I’ve been a subscriber for years. This is not the first time this has happened. I most like am done with this magazine

Doesn’t recognize login
I’m a paid Threads Insider but the app doesn’t recognize my email/password. Triple checked and I can login online just fine. App is pointless and disappointing. Customer service wouldn’t help, just kept resetting my password even though I told them that wasn’t the issue.
Never disappoint
I’ve been a Threads reader for many years and find it to be a great sewing resource. This periodic gem is always choc full of the latest in sewing advice and techniques (ie: Top down, center out pants fitting)! I can’t remember one issue that, after reading, I hadn’t learned at least one new tip. Thank you all for Threads!

Very poorly designed app
This app is extremely frustrating. The issues take ages to download and they never download fully. It is unclear what I paid for/what is included in my subscription. I thought I would have access to all old issues but the system lets me partially browse about six. If subscription means ‘current issues’, I can’t access the latest without paying extra. What kind if a joke is this?!!

This app keeps failing
You would think that a company of this size would get their app updates to work. Every time a new issue to posted I have to call in and speak to multiple people to get my access issues resolved. Last time it took 3+ weeks and I am still trying to resolve the current access issue.
Revise your app.
With technology today there is no excuse for this app to have so many issues. This is my second year and very last time I will subscribe to this magazine. The app never works, can never access magazines I have paid for, can’t even get logged in. Very disappointing as this is my favourite sewing magazine.

Cannot access digital issues
I recently subscribed, but am unable to even log into the app. Customer service is not responsive. I called and was told my subscription doesn’t include digital access, though my purchase confirmation clearly says that it does. So, I guess I’m just deleting this app.
Doesn’t work on my IPad.
I have downloaded it several times but it doesn’t work.
Great magazine, appalling app
I am so sick of this app. In trying to make it super helpful, with lots of hyperlinks, they’ve made really skittish. It takes ages to download, frequently wants to be updated, and frequently needs to be restored. In addition, the earliest magazines won’t restore so either I have to skip them or repurchase them (because neither iTunes nor Threads were helpful in sorting out this problem).

Can’t see all issues purchased
I got a new iPad a couple of months ago. Only the last 3 issues have restored. I’ve contacted Taunton for help and they haven’t helped at all. They’re telling me to contact Apple. No one at Apple to contact - this is an app issue, not an Apple issue. I’m about to cancel my subscription. Why am I continuing to pay if I’m not getting what I paid for?

So many bugs
You have to redownload magazines EVERY SINGLE TIME you open the app. Gets old
Disappointed
As a new Threads Insider subscriber I was extremely disappointed to discover that the app doesn’t allow access to any archived issues without paying for them individually. Despite being able to view them on the web, because my subscription covers it, the app allows me to see the current issue, and nothing else.

I love having the ability to read my magazine on my iPad while waiting for appointments.
Can’t access archive magazines
I am a Threads insider member and paid $59 for that. However this app does not allow me to access the archive magazines as promised for the insider membership. I have logged in but it just doesn’t deliver.
