Buggy app that doesn’t work most of the time
The TickrMeter product is cool but the app is joke. Half the time it won’t properly work. I actually can’t change the tickers now as the app just loads a blank white screen.
Buggy with so much potential
Great idea, physical execution is quite sharp. However, app is buggy, inconsistent. Refreshes are uneven, two devices set to same ticker give different quotes, dollar gain/loss isn’t functional, LED lights are different levels, app push to device often fails.
Seems that a solid app fix would take this to 4.5 or 4.8 stars!

New Users Tip
The app looks and works as if the developer doesn’t own an iPhone. However, if you first go to the tickrmeter website and read about the required setup steps, then when actually using the app to do the setup it’s quite doable. Without first reading the website I can understand the other reviews saying there’s insufficient guidance. To the developer: please fix the part where you have to enter a 5-digit code. After each digit the keyboard disappears. The first minute of testing would have revealed this.

Terrible Setup and Zero Guidance
This app and device are extremely poorly designed. The app asks for a 5-digit code from the TickrMeter, but no code is shown anywhere. The device tells you to connect to its WiFi, but there are no clear instructions on how to actually complete the setup or connect it to your local network. The user experience is awful, the onboarding is nonexistent, and it feels like no thought went into making this usable. Hard pass — I’d never recommend this to anyone.

Product is a fun idea but app and setup is TERRIBLE
Product is fun, app and setup is TERRIBLE. I’m still trying to get mine setup 2 hours later and no success yet!
Great when app works
Poor replies to messages and makes promises to add currency for UK but waiting 3 months and nothing,
Best way to contact them is through Trustpilot where you’ll get almost instant reply but only to be fobbed off

The App and Device are semi-functional
No support post purchase and the app and “features” don’t work well most times.
Cool product terrible app
I really dig having these gadgets on my desk, but this app is very poorly implemented. Apart from a somewhat disjoint but workable design, it does not behave how one expects an iOS app to behave. There are buttons that don’t behave like buttons. There are links that show some popover type things but they only work sporadically. Everything is dead slow to respond. The main symbol list edit screen just shows a blank page and you have to force quit to get out, and delete and reenter everything from scratch if you want to edit something. It kind of works barely enough to get your devices setup but is a terrible clunky garbage experience most of the time. The devices are great and deserve a better app than this pile of goose doo da.

Buggy but great Idea
I own 2 kind of test units but so far the meter itself is great, visually stunning on my workstation table, but the app is buggy but i’m not entirely loosing hope, there are tons of good developers out there, it’s jus a matter of finding one…
The app misses some clearly needed functionality
The concept is good; I own two of their meters. The app however is poorly designed. Some functionality is oddly grouped under Profile, others under Settings and others under Devices. The options need to be thoughtfully regrouped by functionality and not these arbitrary “folders.”
Some functions are plain odd. They allow you to set a purchase price for a stock, but if you buy it on the reg there is no way to update your average purchase price. Instead you have to delete the stock and readd it with the new valuation. That’s silly. You should be able to edit that variable.
There’s an option for fast refresh, but no indication of what that means or does. The units still refresh about every minute. Also, why is that option in your personal Profile and not in with the Devices or Settings options?
The devices should circulate to the next stock every ten seconds or so even if prices only update every minute. It really makes no sense to have them stay for a minute at each stock. That means you have to wait 10 minutes to see all the stocks they will let you see per device.
And that leads to the final gripe. The app only lets you load a playlist of 10 stocks. That is an arbitrary and artificial limiter. It should be more like 30.
This feels like a very young app. I am going to hold on in hopes they fix all of this.

Great app! I have one suggestion/request…
I’ve had my Tickrmeter for quite a while now, I find this app much easier to use than the website. Thanks for making it! I have one suggestion/request; I’d like the option to reduce the number of decimal places that are displayed. (I only really care about two decimal places, not four)
