About
Timber Measure turns your iPhone into a timber measuring tool for the forest road and the log yard.
LOGS — automatic diameters
Point the camera at the log ends from 2–5 m and tap Capture. The app finds every log end and measures each diameter using the iPhone's LiDAR depth — no marker, no reference object, no manual pointing. Review the results drawn on the photo, remove any false hits, and get per-log volume by your national standard (Latvia LVS 82 built in; Huber, Smalian and Newton formulas available). Two-face mode for stacks where you photograph both ends.
PILES — stacked wood, firewood, brush
Measure length, width and height with LiDAR (aim the crosshair, tap — accurate to centimetres even at 10 m) or type them in. Pick the coefficient for your pile — debarked roundwood, roundwood with bark, loose/dumped wood, or fresh, compacted or coarse brush — and get gross and solid cubic metres.
MANUAL — type diameters and lengths directly.
HISTORY — every measurement saved on your phone with notes.
Works fully offline. Nothing is uploaded — camera frames and LiDAR data are processed on the device and discarded.
Requirements: LiDAR measuring needs iPhone 12 Pro or a later Pro / Pro Max model. Manual entry works on any iPhone.
Results are field estimates; pile volumes depend on the coefficient you choose.
