Fix mistakes without restarting

I’m a process engineer who times model changeovers. Live studies get messy, but Replace Element lets me correct a mislabeled step on the spot—no restart, no lost context. The fast sec/min toggle and readable layout work on a noisy floor. I add a note in Study Records, then use cycles/hour in Summary to show the impact of a small tooling tweak. Practical features that protect the run and my time.

Fast, accurate time studies

I’m an industrial engineer in a high-mix assembly plant, and time & motion study removed the friction from timing. I define task elements, set jobs per cycle, and preload non-cyclic (NVA) events before I walk the line. The Start/Lap flow with the quick sec/min toggle keeps up with real pace, and Replace Element saved a run when a step order changed. Afterward, Study Records makes cleanup easy—edit a row, add context notes, or swipe away noise. The Summary rolls it up into average cycle time; cycles/hour, and a clear NVA distribution, so waste is obvious. One-tap Share/Email gets results to supervisors without spreadsheet gymnastics.

Time stops when phone locks or falls asleep

The biggest draw back of this app. The tasks
we perform take minutes. If your phone falls asleep or auto locks the time stops and gives an inaccurate reading.

Unusable

Very poor interface design, at least on iPhone 12/13 mini. Some buttons are not functional, some text/titles are cut off and unreadable, values overlap and are unreadable, portions of the screen overlap other areas, etc.

Lags sadly

I love it’s features but I find it lags and therefore messes up the time study

One immediate possibility could be that the user has too many applications open in the background, which can cause low RAM capacity and corresponding device lags. If this is not the cause, please send us your Device type, iOS version, and what version of Time & Motion Study you are using, and a Device screen recording demonstrating in which event the lag occurs, via email to timermachineapp@gmail.com and we would be happy to further investigate for you. In version 1.3.2, we fixed some bugs related to loading previously saved time studies and prevention of timer lags/pauses when user scrolls the list records. great IF the minutes were fixed

Good app, however the minutes are not displayed/measured correctly. At 30 seconds the minutes are displayed as .30 minutes, not .5 minutes as they should be. Renders the reporting semi useless but with some manipulation you can get close. Work to be done but can be great!
