Great Idea, Nice execution, BUT
Response from developer
Thanks for taking the time to write this — especially because it sounds like you genuinely like the idea behind Time Capsule. I completely understand the frustration around the $20 price, and pricing is something we’re continuing to evaluate as the app grows. On the “vibe coded” point, AI tools have been part of the development process, but Time Capsule has also taken a significant amount of hands-on work across the design, storage experience, reliability, privacy, testing, and all of the small details that make the app feel simple to use. The goal isn’t just to build something that can be recreated technically — it’s to make preserving important memories feel effortless and worth coming back to for years. Really appreciate the thoughtful criticism. Feedback like this genuinely helps shape where we take the app next.
Time waster
Response from developer
Hi Jace, I’m sorry the payment flow felt misleading. We never want someone to feel like their time or memories are being held behind a surprise charge. The subscription and free trial are intended to be shown before payment is required, but your feedback makes it clear that we need to communicate the pricing earlier and more clearly. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Tries to get me to pay
Response from developer
Thanks for trying the app. Time Capsule offers a three day free trial before the subscription begins, and no payment is made without confirmation through Apple. We understand that a subscription will not be the right fit for everyone, and we appreciate the feedback.

Thank you, this means a lot. We’ve put a lot of thought into keeping Time Capsule simple now while building toward a much bigger vision for preserving and revisiting memories over time. Excited for you to see what we add next.
