Utterly useless application

Do not purchase this app!

Nice app but serious bugs

To the extent that it works, it's great.

Here's the problem: as it shoots, it apparently stores the working timelapse in memory. If it is interrupted for any reason, including a low battery system message (keeping in mind that the app drains your battery with a quicknessβ€”use a battery pack if you're planning on taking an extended shot) or exhausted disc space, you lose everything it's shot. This would be bad enough, but if you lose a working timelapse in this manner, there is apparently no way to regain the space on your device other than deleting the app and reinstalling it from the App Store. The first time this happened to me I was bewildered as to why my phone was always full, until I looked in the Storage tab in Settings and saw that the app had been holding onto over a gig worth of inaccessible-to-me images for a couple of weeks. So that's annoying. You're basically taking a gamble any time you set it up for a long timelapse, and the risk increases the longer you leave it running. Oh, well.

Major Disappointment!!!!!

It is great in that you can choose the rate of speed for the time lapse. But it doesn't adjust itself as the day gets darker, but it is still light out. The time lapse you record as the sun is starting to set will be black.

It is hard to see the tiny change in the button to let you know you are recording while the display is dimmed to save power.

But all that aside, the biggest disappointment came when I had set it up to do a time lapse for cloud formation of a storm that spawned amazing tornados directly before me. I was excited to be able to have time lapse of such an amazing sight. Only to discover the app stopped recording to ask me what I thought of the app and to write a review. So, here is my first review of any app!!

I cursed more than a sailor and almost spiked my phone like a football, but then I realized it was not at all Apple's fault, but the fault of the programmers who wrote the app. Couldn't they wait to ask me what I thought after the video was recorded? Instead of during the recording!

Save your money and buy a better app or get them to contact me and I will show them how to make the app much better! But they will have to pay me, since I lost out on a lot of money having nothing to show for my week of storm chasing!!

Hmmm, maybe I should just write my own app!

I wish I didn't have to leave one star.

Greatly disappointed!!!

Hate to do this...

I have .4 acres of backyard with tons of leaves to rake by myself. My only motivation was to time lapse it and sit back and watch the vid when finished. Well first attempt of me raking for hours didn't work. When I got back the iPhone was off for some reason. I assumed it was interrupted and the vid up to that point was saved. So I turned it on and looked for the vid. Nothing. So I recorded a quick clip to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong. At that point the message "app wants to access camera roll" came up. I was furious. I thought man, if I'd have known that before I started it woulda saved it before shutting down. Okay a couple of weeks later I was going to do the other half of the yard so I made sure it was in airplane mode, do not disturb and plugged in to power on a tripod. I kept checking every 30-40 mins and it was recording just fine. But after over 4 hours of work and finally finishing I went to check an my phone was off! Why? No idea but again I thought surely it saved the vid this time before interruption. Negative. Nothing. The hours and hours of recording just isn't there. I can't even put in words how frustrated I am right now. So ZERO stars from me.

Time laps with HDR

Cool app it works great.

Heartbreaking

Each time the app takes a photo it presents the entire sequence of photos already taken in a thumbnail. Great? No, in actual use this burns up the battery. Want to know what happens next? When the battery goes, all your captured frame are dumped and you end up with nothing. In most time-lapse situations it is impossible or impractical to try again. Avoid heartbreak and use only when independently powered or for short clips.

Does Not Function

UPDATE: the developers certainly stayed on top of this problem, which I am most appreciative of. The solution for me, based on their suggestion, was to simply upgrade to IOS 8.1.1, so the rating goes from one star to a well deserved five-star accomplishment.

ORIGINAL: At the moment, the three control buttons do not function on my 6+ and IOS 8.02. Tomorrow, will go to the Apple Store to see if there is a problem with my iPhone and report back. Actually, this app may have a memory problem. I'll wait for an update.

Just what you want

Great features, simple to use

Very nice

Interesting. Preview of recorded video is a great idea. Hdr effect is awesome.

App interference

You MUST allow the app to disregard other apps or messages emails etc. if you are recording a time lapse vid and someone texts to you the app stops recording?!?! Unacceptable.

Great app

What you can expect to go wrong and advice for this app

I initially thought this app was amazing! It creates seamless time lapse and let's you choose the time between each capture.

The problem I have is exporting the video to other apps like Splice, magisto and other video editing apps. The footage comes out BLANK with a green screen. It's weird and frustrating that you can only view it on your camera album!

Also turn your phone on airplane mode and ensure your phone is fully charged as ANY pop up notifications instantly ends your filming without giving you any warning. I can't tell you how many beautiful videos didn't work because of a text, barry notice, another app notification or a calendar notification.

Easy to use.

This app is easy to use. It's also very entertaining to watch the videos that are created. I will be using this app a lot. One improvement recommend is not allowing other apps to interrupt the recording with notifications.

I love it.

One word, FANTASTIC.

Just the app I was looking for.

Perfect and simple.

Fast, Simple to Use!!!

WOW! This app is sooo worth its weight in gold! I had been using 'iLapse' - what a JOKE! I'll refrain from dogging them too much, except to say that I deleted it after the first time I used THIS wonderfully simple app! PERFECT photos put into flawless 'movie' form and sent to your Camera Roll automatically, simply by terminating the pic taking process! This app could make a trained orangutan look like a professional photographer!!!!
UPDATE QUESTION (as there's no app support): Does anyone know if the "Auto-Lock" feature in iPhone need to be 'Off' for it to continue to photograph for long periods of time 60-90 mins)? I go back to check on phone/camera, and it's stopped, with no video/photos! Thanks!

Hysterical

Just did a few impromptu videos of the kids horsing around at 1/2 sec rate. Total keystone kops. Must try w slower things to appreciate as well. Wish I had a tripod or something

great App

Actually, it is realy imazing app, easy to use easy to share with any apps like whatsup, skype etc...

Great

I haven't tried it out extensively, but what I've done with the app so far has turned out great. Very nice, simple app.

Keeps crashing my phone

Every time I try to use the app, my phone restarts. It will open but as soon as I try to start snapping photos, screen goes black and I get a visit from the little white apple. Disappointed.
