Widgets are not fixed

The widget fix noted in the latest update clearly didn’t work, as I’m still being asked to sync a calendar when I already have.

In general I wish I could just enter time blocks directly into the app WITHOUT first syncing to an existing calendar app- if I wanted to use apple calendar… I would do that, and I hate having to use a secondary app just to use the features of this one.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback, and sorry for the frustration. The widget issue was unfortunately more stubborn than I initially thought. The fix in the previous release didn’t fully resolve it for all users, but I’m happy to say that it has now been fully fixed in version 1.17.3. If you update to the latest version, the widget should work correctly again. Regarding calendars, Align is intentionally designed as a layer on top of the calendar system rather than a standalone database. However, you don’t need to use your existing Apple Calendar setup. Many users create a dedicated calendar called something like “Align Time Blocks”, enable only that calendar in Align, and then forget about the rest. This gives you a planning experience that feels separate from your personal calendars while still benefiting from sync, widgets, and system integrations. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts. Feedback like this helps me improve the app.

Helpful app

this app really help me a lot in my all day work with tracking & with time management

I was lost till I found this app

Chronic ADD is my current condition. I’ve tried planners, to-do lists, and all types of productivity apps, and most of them just made me feel overwhelmed to many buttons to many layouts many calendars left me with in decision paralysis. Align is the first one that actually helps. stress. It’s huge for time blindness and I can actually see where my time goes, and I don’t lose entire hours anymore. ❤️❤️ Thank you for creating this app it has changed the way I live. And please don't get to feature heavy the app is great as is❤️❤️

Response from developer

Thank you so much for this, it truly means a lot! I’m really glad the simplicity is working for you. That’s a big part of the philosophy behind the app. Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review, and for trusting Align as part of your daily life 🙏

nice app but i have suggestions

i was looking for a free timetable to do list type of app and this looked so good but i have a few suggestions that i’d like to see if it isn’t too much trouble

- make syncing to calendar optional, for some reason i just absolutely hate apps that only work if it’s synced to the calendar, i end up deleting them the moment they ask for it sadly

- custom colours, i love colour coding my tasks so being able to use colours of my choice would be really helpful!

if you were to add these two features i’d absolutely love it! thanks!

Response from developer

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback, I really appreciate it! I totally understand your point about calendar syncing. Align is designed as a layer on top of calendars, so it does require one to work. That said, you don’t have to use your existing calendars, you can create a dedicated calendar just for Align and hide it from your main calendar app. That way, everything stays separate and doesn’t interfere with your usual setup. Also, good news: custom colors have already been implemented, so you can color-code your tasks however you like. Thanks again for taking the time to share your suggestions!

Love the App

App is amazing. It truly helps me segment my day the way I want to just slight problem when it comes to Ios interface. May 2025 will cut off showing only y 2025 and also some information will also cut off screen. Usually have the swipe to side to see it besides that it’s regular.

Response from developer

Thanks a lot for the kind words. I really appreciate it! Just a quick update on this: that interface issue you mentioned has been fixed in a more recent version of the app. If you haven’t updated or tried it again in a while, it now displays everything correctly without getting cut off. I’d love to hear if it feels smoother now!
