Paid for subscription. Doesn’t work. No support
I paid for the subscription because I wanted to get rid of the ads. I still get ads.
Tried getting in touch with tech support via their website and heard zero response.
They just took my money and continue to shove aggravating ads down my throat. Very frustrating.

Good app, could be GREAT
Overall its a good app but DEFINITELY needs some updates.
When trying to send generated pdfs from app to a recipient with an adroid phone, I ALWAYS get a message send failure message. I have to screen capture it, crop it and then send it that way which is very frustrating.

Would be great if the total hours were added up on the final timecard, and if you didnt have to watch 30 second ads before sending them in!
Time Saver APP!
This app saves so much of my time
I can fill it up on my phone instead of doing excel or other document sheets, and stay efficient on set, since I am filling it up for the whole département.
I love it, I believe in it and it saved so much of my time when I knew it existed ❤️

Doesn't have Non Union Timecard Formats
The company I work for uses cast and crew for payrole but they do mostly non union shows. They will not accept time card buddy submissions because its a Union time card format. I've had it for a few months but haven't been able to use it.
Pretty good
Good app, makes it easy to keep track of your times, prior weeks etc. Big issue that needs fix: when writing on comments line, it centers the text, instead of flush left. I’ve indicated things there and they have been overlooked because the writing is too tiny and doesn’t immediately follow the word “comments”. Please fix in next update!!

You need to add upgrade section to weekly, it’s useless without that option.
Recent glitches
LOVED this app for so long. Recently, there’s been glitches (week ending adjustments, auto fill categories) that have been having issues. Not sure if it’s a generalized issue, or specific. Either way, frustrating.
Dates
I used to like this app, but for some reason with the latest version it doesn’t seem to let me select a wk ending date. Which is useless when it auto fills the dates and you can’t change them.

Support non responsive
This app is useful but I’ve tried to contact support several times with ZERO response. Makes it harder to use the app.

Makes A Dreaded Task Managable
This app makes my week better. This is way better than paper time cards, and much more convenient. Works on iPhone, iPad and Mac!
I would love to see a dark mode, and other UI improvements, but overall this is a killer app in a small but loud market. If you’re still paper or digital time cards on a pdf editing program, please download this app, pay the small fee and enjoy all of your new free time.

Life Saver
This app saves time and helps me every day. Can save rates, positions and show information. Very useful tool. Highly recommend!

Travel boxes
We need the addition of travel time boxes in ep Canada dailies that appear in the weekly time card.
We need addition of a format choice to send. Some productions want PDF instead of PNG.

Great App but needs a little refining
As a best boy, TCBuddy is a huge time saver! I can use the autofill function to cut my timecard times from a few days to a few hours on friday. However it's not perfect, there are some fesatures and updates I'd love to see.
Things I wish it had:
Add the Preview and Send button to the top of all screens so I don't have to scroll to it or select it from the drop down window.
App crashes when there is no internet
Add the Ability similar to Adobe Acrobat where you can generate realistic looking signatures.
add prompt to confirm week ending date when generating timecards from autofill.
Other then these few small things, TCBuddy is great, I recommend it to all my Film family.

Review Long Overdue
If you work in film/television and part of your daily/weekly roles is filling out timecards this app will save you a lot of time and hand cramping. It’s come a long way since I first starting using it over a year ago and I fully credit James for making himself available and responsive to my emails. With anything digital there’s always a learning curve but this is not difficult and I encourage you to just reach out and get the support you may need. Worked for me and I am very grateful. I may have the worst job title as “Best Boy” but at least I don’t mess up my timecards and my guys get paid. Thanks again James

New update doesn’t launch
Used to be good, but latest update killed the app completely. Won’t even launch.
Great app!
Due to COVID our accounting department is no longer accepting hard copies of timecards. I am often at my computer and have no issue getting mine filled out and turned in. That said, this is amazing for my set PA’s! You can even set it to break down into 1/10 hr format. You can even use it for your box rental. This app is a must have for film crew!

Best way to do time cards in film and television.
I manage up to 15 additionals per day in our grip department. This app made my time cards SUPER simple and free of the usual errors and oversights. I’m done with time cards in minutes on Friday and am no longer mired with outstanding paperwork in my personal time. You will appreciate this app and so will payroll. Get it and use it and buy the ad free version because this guy deserves to be rewarded for his work. A+++

My only problem is that now a days I can’t seem to copy the whole crew to the next week after holding the “+”
It only makes as many blanks as there are crew.
For this 6 month show, this will be a pain.
