It’s so cool to play with other people. I love this game concept! You look at a photo and you can really analyze and find clues to tell you where in the world that may have taken place. So really zoom in and check it out. And then there are clues about when it might’ve been taken. You have to analyze the fashion.

Great Game with a catch
I love the game concept. I’m perfectly fine with ads but sometimes they pop up and there is no way to close out of them. Even after hitting “close” 500 times. I’ve had to quit the the app and lose my progress multiple times already.
SECURITY HAZARD
Game is great but privacy and security policy is as dodgy as it can be. You can’t reject all cookies, most vendors are hidden behind disingenuous design and when you get to them you have to disable dozens individually. Most vendors want access to your private data for 10 years. What a disappointment

Ad integration fail.
The TimeGuessr app was fine to begin with, and seems to have been built well - but with the clunky integration of ads seemingly tacked onto a working app, it had made it unusable. For the daily game that I play with my family overseas, before I can share my results, I get an ad that can’t be exited out of, and if I force close the app I am back to the start!
Also, with the “share results” you should remove the URL as it makes sharing messy.
If the ads get fixed, I will give the app a much higher rating.

They’ve recently enabled ads in this app and they are all scam ads. Every ad pretends there is a virus on your phone and include multiple fake ‘x’ icons to trick you.

Doesn’t work, revised
Response to developer. I reloaded the app and at first it still didn’t work. I tried to use “play “ option.
Deleted and reloaded again. Now seems to work fine.

Hi, There was some temporary downtime the other day during some scheduled maintenance on the the site which caused this error. The app should now work fine. In the future to avoid confusion I will implement a notice screen during any scheduled maintenance. I would greatly appreciate it if you could redownload the app and revise your review after playing :) Thanks

Game gives a error which is “Game data not loaded yet. “ when i try to hit play.
