- Added support for additional date formats - Added support for filters to be able to filter on events with No Type or Category - Fixed an issue with hiding duplicate dates that meant that partial dates were not respected In 1.4.0 we introduced: Date improvement edition! Timelined is all about dates and so we have put a lot of work into tidying up how these are entered and displayed! Thanks for your suggestions which have driven many of these improvements!! Date pickers in Add/Edit Event: - Revamped how dates are entered into an event by showing only the applicable pickers (based on the date precision choice). - In Settings you can now specify what date precision you want as the default for any new events - An event's end date cannot be set that is before its start date. - The end date's starting value is now set to be the start date value (making it quicker and easier to get to the actual end date). Date display: - The 2 Timeline views (Timeline and Timeline by Year) now show the start and end dates (for events with an end date) in the same way as the Timeline List view already did. i.e. in a way that has the full details and respects the Date precision setting of the event. - In Settings you now have the option to display dates as either Text (current behaviour) or as DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY (this preference is carried through the whole app and in exports) - In Settings you now have the option to display the date and time values in a Fixed with font. This option only affects the date value on the left-side of the Timeline and Timeline - by Year views (Tip: this works particularly well when also using the likes of DD/MM/YYYY to display your timelined dates) Other (non-date) improvements: - You can now remove a Type from an event by selecting 'No type' - The description field in add/edit event now shows 'Description' as a placeholder to better indicate the presence of the field - Location details could sometimes hold duplicated name values in the text description. This has now been fixed.
