What's New in Timelines
1.94
September 8, 2026
Version 1.94 – Build 179 New Feature — Piston Integration Sign-in: Sign in to a Piston server from Timelines via Bonjour discovery or manual address entry; token stored in the Keychain so sign-in survives relaunches. Navigation: Account button in the main navigation bar; organisation picker for multi-org users. Session join: Press Record → offered the list of live sessions → join one; status pill shows whether clips are reaching Piston. Marker posting: Every coded clip posts as a Piston marker on clip end — one POST with name, category, colour, angle, start, end, qualifiers, and note. Edit/delete sync: Edits and deletes follow through; swipe-delete in the timeline list removes the server marker. Graceful detach: When the Piston session stops, the link detaches and coding continues local-only. Media-time clock: Marker times are positions in the recorded video, not wall clock. PistonPlaylistProbe reads the HLS live edge via HTTP Range requests; PistonMediaClock follows it with a smoothed media-seconds-per-wall-second rate (a rig ingesting at 0.79× put wall-clock markers 55 minutes past the end of the footage). Reconciliation-based sync: PistonTimelineSync walks the chronology every 2s and sends only what changed — replacing per-mutation hooks, which missed qualifiers and double-fired creates. Offline outbox: Work queues when the network or server is unreachable and drains on reconnect; a coalescer collapses redundant create/update/delete operations. Stuck-queue handling: After 5 failed attempts, an operation parks; the pill's detail sheet offers Try Again / Send Now / Remove N Failed / Remove All Queued, with removal recording abandoned clips so the reconciler can't re-queue them. On starting a run, leftover parked markers prompt Remove or Keep. Editing Added a Grid (on by default) in Edit mode of Timelines so buttons can be more easily aligned and spaced. Added a "Snap to Grid" button beside the grid icon that, when enabled, auto-snaps buttons to align with the nearest grid alignment guideline. Bug Fixes Fixed qualifiers "Last Down" and "Last Up" not appearing in the table view. Fixed incorrect Block action behaviour. Fixed Qualifier "Next Up" not working.
