I have to say, I’m a homeschooling mom of 12+ years and a math tutor. I downloaded the Lite version to see about sharing this with my tutoring clients. I decided to test the app and entered the incorrect answers for the “Zero is King”. It told me that the answers were wrong but said that I had “completed” that section. Hmm. Not sure that would be helpful for my kiddos, to do the problems incorrectly, be rewarded with “good job” and have that lesson be marked as completed. Maybe I’m missing something… it also would be great to know how much to buy the app before I have to push the “buy the app” button. The possibilities for this app if done correctly, would be great. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend it as-is. Bummer. Missed opportunity.

All the sections that have been completed give a positive response from the narrator to acknowledge the effort completed. In most instances, students are not purposefully entering incorrect responses so they are rightly rewarded for the effort. Some sections say, try again when students enter the wrong answer. It is just the quizzes with multiple questions that respond with good job.

Great program
Like a lot of parents we are looking at how our kids can be up to speed when school returns after the quarantine. This program is great and super engaging. My son is excited to learn and watch the video’s with the stories. We ask him through out the day what different times are and with the help of the stories he is able to quickly remember it. If he struggles with the answer I will follow up with remember it is the one with the cheer. And then it clicks and he know the answer. Not only will he up to speed he will be ahead when he returns to school in the fall. Totally worth the purchase, kid loves the app, and is way cheaper than a tutor.

This has potential for being a great app. After purchasing the full package, we cannot access them because the app shuts down.

Please update your app to version 1.08. We have fixed the problem which recently occurred with update of ios12. WE are so sorry for this but it is working well now. Please contact timesalive@citycreek.com for help.
Great way for “non-memorizers “ !
This is a great way for kids to learn their multiplication facts in a fun way! I use it with the other fun materials from city creek. My students love it! So glad to finally have it on the iPad!

Love the movies and songs
This is the best method I’ve found to learn the times tables. The stories and songs really work as a great way to remember.
Great app to teach multiplication facts
We love City Creek Press products and resources. The Times Alive app is a fun way to teach multiplication through stories. People tend to recall information when it is put into context such as in story and songs. My husband and I even told each other this would have been an awesome resource to have when we were learning our times tables tables.

My kids love the stories and songs and it works! They remember the answers and like to watch the lesson turn yellow when done. Best thing is it works in the car without internet
