Went from okay to unusable
App worked pretty good when I fist started using it in 2019 or so but in the last year it’s gotten worse and worse! It recently wiped all of my data for no reason and freezes and crashes with every button push or even sometimes by just opening the app!
Developer needs to fix the app and everyone else should find something better!

Take my money, damnit
It’s a great and useful app. So much so that I’m trying to purchase to pro version. Only problem is it won’t let me!! Everytime I click the “upgrade to pro” button, nothing happens. If some dev can help me out I will happily change to 5 stars
Best time tracking for desktop & mobile
I needed a time tracking app on my phone so I did a quick search, tried a few of the top results and soon realized they were all too complicated, too confusing to use, stacked with features yet still unable to provide the ease of use and features that I need. I’ve been using TimeTag on my Mac for years and at first I didn’t realize they have a mobile app as well. This app is perfect. Clean, simple, gives me all the features that I need and it just works. Thanks for providing such an amazing app for free, really makes my life a lot easier.

Timetag Pro Subscription
Paying a yearly fee for a timer???? Unreal. So many other choices. A subscription? Really?
App went from Very Good to Fantastic in last update
I have been using TimeTag off and on for a number of years depending on the requirements of specific clients. It has always satisfied my requirements when I needed to track/report my time and activities. The last update made the app much more intuitive, much easier to use, and, most importantly, gave the user valuable information "on the fly" that might have previously required additional user effort. If you need an app that will allow you to categorize your time and generate reports for clients demonstrating goals achieved through your efforts, this app is the best in the store. Additionally, if you would like these activities posted on your calendar on the dates of activity, this app will do that for you also.

Response from developer
Thank you so much for this review! We greatly appreciate it, and are so happy it’s working out well for you. Regards, Sam & the TimeTag team
Lost ability to write out filtered records
Ive been using this app for years to write out last months specific category time records to a spreadsheet file. As of the Jan 3 update, it appears to only write out the entire unfiltered database. Other than that, it works great.
Do NOT purchase Pro version
I purchased the Pro version so that I could sync between devices and it worked for a few weeks. Then it stopped. I contacted the developer for help and they tried to fix the problem but to no avail. I still use the free version but I'm out the $9.73 I paid to buy the Pro. Save yourself the money and stick with the free version. It's a good app, but I'd love to be able to use it on my phone and iPad as well. (Hey, Capparsa, I sure would love to get my money back. Apple won't help. Will you?)

This is great
I use it to track time and occurrences of different events and I think this interface is great. Easy to start a new timer. Also I love the way this app allows you to adjust time entries after they are done. Thank you!
Features held prisoner behind pay wall
I used the app quite a bit but always wished it had reporting built in. Well it's finally been added...
The problem is that cloud syncing and new reports require a monthly subscription. The first issue I have is that is not clear if the data's is stored in iCloud our their servers. I don't want my data on the developer's servers. I don't really want it in iCloud either but I'd live with it, if it meant syncing. The second issue is a recurring subscription. It's a nice app and people got to eat. I get that. However I'm not going to sign up for functionality I can do with the exported data or even easier I can just use an app with graphs that is not constantly siphoning money.

Impressed!
I have been searching for an app like this for months. I have tried a lot of them and they just didn't work right. This app is phenomenal. I can't believe it's free.
Great for Job Pricing
I run a start-up and TimeTag has been great for me to time different processes in order to set the right price point and find efficiencies. I can label things and go back and compare how much time (and money) I'm saving by improving the process.
Great, simple, and straightforward
Easy to use with a clean interface. Very intuitive with a simple setup so it does what I need it to do quickly without all the extra features that make other apps feel clunky. One suggestion...the ability to review data with a pie chart and bar graph would be nice. Great app!
Works Great (minor issues)
The app is great at helping me keep track of my time, and the ability to create my own categories helps me figure out how much time is productively used or wasted. The app occasionally crashes, but it has always reopened easily afterwards and I have never lost any data due to the crashes.
Might Even Be 5
I am excited to use this app. I hope it's easy & fast like you say but the best part sounds like the ease of switching from one "job" to the next- I happen to be one of those busy Moms who always gets asked "what I did today" at the end of the day. While it's possible they truly believe I enter an alternate universe & elves come back thru to wash their clothes & etc., I hope this app will be easy for me to show them how I switch from task to task as if they were jobs recording my time on each. I haven't found the "right" app yet...maybe this is it.

academic musician
TimeTag is currently fulfilling 2 important tasks of an academic musician: recording time on applied music (aka practice time), and accurately populating a selected iOS calendar, showing the progress of time investment. In combination with iStudiez Pro, time on task (TimeTag) gets displayed together on an academic schedule (iStudiez) via the pass-through iOS calendar. Seeing practice time tracking along beside class schedules can be encouraging of further time investment. There are also those "oh [bleep]" moments when the inverse is also shown: lack of time on task, while the academic schedule continues. TimeTag can easily become a 5-star app, glad to have it on the iPad Retina Mini.

Really Useful and Simple as advertized!
It is refreshing to come across apps that meet or exceed their intent! TimeTag works as avertized, that is, it is easy to use and pretty useful in keeping track of multiple tasks, making it a great productivity tool. Thanks for keeping simple things really simple.
Great App
It is simple, easy to use & supplies me with what I want. Latest version update even improved on that. Great job!
Fantastic!!!!
I've been using this app to track my time on projects for a couple years now. I have had a few issues with the application but those have always been fixed by the next release. Then last week I hit a critical bug with e porting my data and I submitted a report. In a couple days I had a response from the developer and then a few days later the bug was fixed and I was updated in the App Store. Thank you for fixing the bug so quickly and having a great app.

Cannot recommend this app
Just got it for working offsite. I had several jobs to enter that I did several days ago; entered them and one disappeared when I exported it to my calendar ( if that function would work, this app would be great). So I added that one again (painful), tried it export it for the calendar, still did not work, but both showed up when I restarted. For an app that is several years old it's not a good buy.

does it's job well
like others, I've downloaded and paid quite a bit of money to find an app in the class. some where too simple, others too complex. this is the perfect mix for me.
