A bit basic
Our daughter enjoyed this briefly, but it was pretty short lived. The animations are a bit jumpy and the quality of interaction is pretty basic.
The character is fun though - nicely conceived and a good choice of animal - kids love octopuses! A slightly missed opportunity however - a lot more could have been done to make it compelling for kids. Maybe development budgets were tight.
It isn't a learning game really - there aren't key learnings for kids to take out of it that I can see other than learning about touch screens.
A bolted on colouring book helps provide an alternative to the main linear activities but again, it's a bit basic and didn't hold our daughter's attention for that long.
So, it's OK for a short period of play :)

Timmy tickle
Cute. Great for 2-3 yr olds

Timmy Tickle is a sweet app for preschoolers. It is both a interactive story book and a coloring book, that relates to the story pages. There are many tasks to be completed with Timmy, such as activities of daily living - doing dishes and dressing up, counting, music - including instruction on playing songs on a xylophone, matching, and lastly saying goodnight. The narration and sounds are just right in pitch and tone, and offer encouragement to proceed. There are many play schemes that can be acted upon after reading and playing Timmy Tickle. I would recommend this to parents and clinicians for early learners.

A delightful app, beautiful graphics and colors, scope for a young child to explore and learn. Well done!
Great fun!
The only downside is that my 2 year old & 4 year old just about break the iPad in half struggling over who gets to help Timmy wash the dishes!

My 3 year old Grandson absolutely loves this. We have a couple of dozen apps for him. This is his favourite and the one he always chooses first. More little stories and paintings please.

Absolutely FANTASTIC app! By far my 19 months old favourite. She loves the tickling and laughter from Timmy and always giggles along with him, she also thinks him whizzing off the screen on his roller skates is utterly hilarious! I can't recommend this app enough and have it on both the iPad and iPhone.

Saw this app being discussed on twitter and downloaded it! My little girl is only 5 months but loves it!! She loves the sounds and bright colours and giggles all the way through! She leans out and touches it which then makes things happen. Will be great for when she gets older too. I am also a teacher and would recommend this to anyone!

My 2 1/2 yr old loves this app. The different games she can play are great and visually very appealing. She spends ages working her way through each page.

What a great app, my 3 year old loves it. Had a problem with the sound but emailed developer about it, who replied right away and fixed the problem....if your mute button is on the sound doesn't play properly.

Lovely character, great animation, fun to share
My children and I took to Timmy from the moment he invited them to tickle him on the first page. The activities are the star of this app, with the story loosely holding them together. Some are just for fun, while others help with colour, number and matching skills. We have had lots of giggles together as Timmy makes himself into different kinds of fruit, whips disguises on and off, or tries to stay upright on his roller skates. The xylophone page is our favourite of all. The app is a lot of fun for preschoolers, and really geared towards their needs. The animation is really high quality too. Recommended.

A great updated version! My children love the addition of the xylophone and the colouring. We all enjoy using the app together; we talk about the songs, colours and actions! We look forward to the ongoing story of Timmy Tickle!
