Great, but layout slightly awkward on iPhone mini
Bought to use as a compositional tool
On iPhone 8 mini:
Sounds great and feels immediate with the lowest latency I’ve experienced on iPhone.
It doesn’t have reverb which is a shame, as it would be useful since there is no peddle when playing on iPhone (or a peddle lock switch perhaps?)
The design is really nice, clean and simple, however it’s slightly awkward on an iPhone Mini. I expect it would be fine on larger phones and iPads.
iPhone mini issues:
The instrument velocity is controlled by pressing higher or lower on the keys, not with touch pressure. This causes problems with playing softly on the iPhone mini due to the software button swipe activating and the piano sound dropping out. Consequently I can only play high velocity in the centre of the keyboard.
Small issue(and tricky to explain): The simple keyboard lock on the left hand side of the screen gets covered by the camera speaker bezel. This can be fixed if you flip the phone 180degrees, however that cases the phone to angle away from you due to the camera bulk. (With apple silicone MagSafe case).
I’m still glad I got it, it sounds so good!

I love Tines.
As a comment to all bad/mixed reviews: Of course, this is not a sampled version of a classic EP, it is a synthesized emulation. If you need a sound as close to the original as possible, buy Neo Soul Keys Studio. But keep in mind that Neo is more expensive and fills your device with 4GB of samples (vs. 20MB for Tines).

..nicht nur, dass es kaum Regelmöglichkeiten gibt, was noch zu verschmerzen wäre, wenn der Grundklang gut wäre, was leider nicht der Fall ist, der Klang neigt auch noch schnell zur Übersteuerung. Jedes E-Piano von Korg, Soul keys oder ILectric klingt um Längen besser. Der Preis ist dementsprechend unverschämt. Wirklich mutig, so ein Produkt hier reinzustellen...

It's Okay
But it's up against some very good competition. Though, none of them are AudioUnits. Which is the unique selling point this app has over its competition. It sounds good, but control over the sound is limited.
Sounds nothing like a Rhodes
But in fairness none of the Rhodes apps have a sound even vaguely like a Rhodes or Wurly. Shame I had to blow $8 to learn. Next time I'll read they reviews.
Straightforward electric piano AU with tiny file size!
I was tempted to give Tines 4 stars because it is somewhat limited in the variety of sounds it can produce. But I didn't because Klevgrand have made a lot of great effects apps, and Tines does exactly what it's advertised to do - nothing less. The three-band EQ allows you to dial in warm or tinny piano sounds, and you can control the vibrato effect. The air control is like a reverb. Sounds great and works well with AU!

Another wonderful creation
This company has put together an amazing collection of software and it's consistently solid, innovative, and awe-inducing. I'm looking forward to their future instrument line-up. This EP is NICE!
