About
TINKR turns any sound into a music box.
Punch notes onto a paper scroll, put your thumb on the crank, and watch the scroll roll down. Every hole that passes the bar chimes, played by whatever sound you've loaded: a twang, a boop, your voice, a wine glass, a cat.
CRANK IT
• Hold the crank and the scroll rolls at your tempo.
• Switch to THUMB and the crank follows your thumb: drag up to speed up, down to slow down.
• STRUM rolls each chord left to right, and it tightens as you crank faster.
• Feel every step with a soft haptic click.
SAMPLE ANYTHING
• Hold NEW SAMPLE and hum, clink, snap or sing. TINKR finds the pitch and tunes the whole scroll to it.
• Import your own sounds from Files.
• Trim, fade, reverse and normalize them in the sample editor, with the scroll still cranking underneath.
• Five stock sounds to start with.
SHAPE IT
• LOFI (warble and hiss), PHASER (swirl) and CHORUS (shimmer), each with its own little animation.
• REVERB and DELAY knobs, with the echoes in time with your tempo.
• DECAY sets how long each note rings.
• 16, 32 or 64 steps. Chromatic, major or pentatonic notes across the top, with octave shift.
KEEP IT
• SAVE SCROLL puts the pattern in your bank, along with its tempo, strum and sound. Load, rename or delete any time.
TAKE IT ANYWHERE
• Export any scroll as a WAV (1, 2 or 4 passes) or a MIDI file. Save to Files, AirDrop it or share it.
• MIDI out: plug into a Mac and play your synths and DAW from the scroll.

What's New in TINKR
1.1
October 30, 2026
TINKR just got layers. • Three layers on one scroll, each with its own sound, scale, key and mix. The other layers show through underneath so you can see how they fit together. • Sustained notes: hold on the paper and slide up to cut a bar. Record yourself saying “tree” and hear “treeeee”. • Move any note by holding it and dragging. • Undo. • New FILTER and TRANSPOSE knobs in the sample editor. • REVERB, DELAY, DECAY and VOL now work per layer, and the FX window applies to the whole mix.
