This looks like it might be fun, but I downloaded it on my iPhone 17 Pro and got an error message each time I tried to use it. Since there is no support, I have not been able to figure out why I got an error message and have since deleted the app. Don’t bother.
Crashes every time I try to open a photo from camera roll
It’s a cool effect but I literally can’t apply it to any photo I’ve already taken. Nice to see this app hasn’t had an update in three years. Always read the fine print I guess. 👎👎👎

L'application par elle-même est vraiment très agréable et le rendu est très bon. Je regrette par contre le design qui tente de ressembler à une chambre, mais qui finalement fait très cheap (Un simple cadre noir serait plus appréciable), et le fait qu'un lien vers instagram soit présent (Ras le bol des réseaux sociaux !!!). Autre point regrettable, c'est que le système de filtrage est toujours le même, les "défauts" sont toujours présents aux mêmes endroits (Ce qui n'est pas le cas avec les véritables tirages anciens ...). Enfin un système de sauvegarde de presests serai un plus indéniable. Bref, des améliorations à attendre pour 5 étoiles ...

A fun option for taking photos.
I do like this app. It’s easy to learn, and delivers good results with some nice options. The default small depth of field is awesome! I just discovered you can take any shot from your Apple photo library and tintype it. Cool!

This is an amazing app and nothing else compares to giving your photos that 1920-1930s look. Please don’t ever remove from the App Store or fail to keep updated!!!! It is so very unique!!!!

I love it, BUT
I really love this app and have used it for years, but it hasn’t been updated in over 2 years and will not open raw photos, they just crash the app. And it could always have used some additional features or at least the ability to tweak the images. Lots to love, but it seems like an orphan now.
Focus
As another member asked, it would be nice if we could decide where the focus point is.
Vintage Art at your fingertips
I love the antique, film plate, TinType look of these. Although you can use them on any subject, portraits look the best.
RAW support needed
Wish it saved in RAW instead of just jpg.
Possible update
I like the app a lot but would very much like to determine where the center point for focus is, instead of it always being dead-center in the frame so that I don’t have to increase the focus diameter to near 0.
Easy to Use
Without any guidance, this app is easy to use. You either like the look or you don’t. I love the ability to render a photo surreal.
Needs focus control point
The best feature to improve this app would be to adding the ability to adjust the focus point with touch. This added control would make this app so much better. Without focus point touch a majority of the photos are not focused on the primary subject. I would pay more for this feature. When the focus point falls correctly on the subject the results are special. Please consider upgrading this feature - "point-of-focus touch control".

Very disappointed, no reply from support.
Was a Hipstamatic user before the update some time ago. Missed it a lot. Bought back into the $40 yearly club/plan from Hipstamatic, it’s harder to use now.
Decided to purchase TinType additionally for a series of portraits of friends and acquaintances.
It doesn’t work. Contacted support… nothing.
Ready to contact Apple to file a formal complaint due to misrepresentation on the part of the Hipstamatic. Have sent a couple of emails try to get help with my problem. Does anyone know if they’ve gone out of business? Their phone number seems to have been disconnected.
Recommendation… do not purchase.
Will update if Hipstamatic does right by me which would indicate they would do right by you also.

What happened???
This has been one of my favorite cameras for years. Now, photos are not processing and error messages are coming up. It’s frustrating to say the least. I hope you can fix it because I rely on your camera systems and filters for many of my photography work and conversions.
