Fun, but seemingly neglected
I enjoy this a lot, they’re good puzzles, and I’ve done every one that been put out. But I haven’t seen a new one in years maybe? The dailies are repeats, as far as I can tell, and new packs haven’t been offered in a long time.

Fun & Challenging
I like this app; it plays like a crossword puzzle where you choose combinations of letters to fill in the correct word from the clues given. And most of them time I don’t even mind the ads, considering it’s a free game. However, they have started running ads for gun sales, which seems terribly inappropriate for this medium, as it’s available for anyone at any age. It’s very disappointing considering the number of innocent people being murdered every day, and I’m playing this to try to get mind off the bad news. There are plenty of other companies that will pay to run ads on your app. Update: I haven’t seen any gun ads lately, which is really nice. The one big thing I wish they would change is to be able to I’ve the letters around on the field below the puzzle.

Tap to Place Letters
Like the game a lot. It’s a nice twist on mini crossword puzzles. They’re clever and just challenging enough without being overly complicated, which keeps them interesting and fun to solve. The only drawback for me is that you have to drag the letters into place instead of tapping to place them, like you can to remove them. It can be frustrating when playing on a small screen like your phone where it’s easy to place letters into the wrong spot, which often times results in bumping other letters out of place. Making this an option in settings would be great. Other than that, it is a really good game.

Fun enjoyable app, minor problems.
I really enjoy playing Tiny Little Crosswords — the word puzzles are fun, quick, and great for stretching my lateral thinking skills. With no ad interruptions, the experience remains smooth and focused.
However, many of the puzzle themes are quite US-centric, which can be frustrating for users from different cultural backgrounds. It would be great to see more globally inclusive content. Also, the recent change from unlimited to limited hints is disappointing — it takes away from the relaxed, learning-friendly nature the app used to have, especially when hints are needed just to get through obscure US-centric puzzles. This isn't made clear in the app description, so it might catch some users off guard.
Still, a solid app overall, and I hope the developers take this feedback on board.

Ruined a great game
The addition of ads (and long ads) after every little game has ruined what was one of my favorite apps.
Restore Purchases Doesn’t Work
The game’s fine. Unfortunately, restore purchases doesn’t work if you’ve already paid extra for in-app purchases on a different device (iPhone to iPad). Keep that in mind when considering spending money on this app. You’ll have to pay separately on each device.
Nice mini crossword game
Another nice mini crossword game. Some themes more obscure than others, but a good mix. For years now, a lot of reviewers have been asking to be able to tap to place letters instead of having to drag them. Tapping works to remove letters, so why doesn’t tapping work to add them? It doesn’t make sense.

Free Daily Puzzles stopped working
I have played the Tiny Little Crosswords free daily puzzle for longer than I can remember. On February 18, 2025, the free daily puzzle did not open. I was even more disappointed when on February 19, 2025, neither the puzzle for the 18th nor the one for the 19th would open. I hope it’s not discontinued because this was one of the few puzzle games I enjoyed. The low rating is because this is going to cause me to break my streak.

My husband and I love this game, competing to complete them without using hints. Four stars because there is not an avenue to “earn” hints rather than paying for them.
