By far the best pitch pipe for the Apple Watch
There are tons of pitch pipes available for the iPhone, but precious few for the watch. And almost all of them are horrible, with poor interfaces, difficulty controlling the volume, and general unreliability.
TinyPitch solves all of those problems. It is extremely intuitive to use, and it has fun and helpful features like being able to change the instrument and also change the octave with a swipe! Highly recommended!!

Where has this app been all my life? Exactly what I’ve wanted. Simple to use, convenient. Love the ability to shift octaves. My only objection is that I have to turn the volume down almost to zero, or else it hurts my ears. I’d like to turn it down a little further but that seems to be the limit.

Thank you for your review! The minimum volume is actually programmed to be extremely low, to the point it is only audible if you hold it up to your ear. If it sounds louder on your watch, your ports might be obstructed. (When the microphone part gets dust in it, for some reason that affects the minimum volume of the watch.) Try blowing it out with compressed air, or taking it to an Apple store. I promise the volume will get lower!

If the app doesn’t run, please try restarting your watch and your phone. I promise it will load up! Sometimes it takes a while because there are a lot of sound files. If the app doesn’t work for you, please request a refund :-) If you do get the app to work, could you please adjust your review? I am an independent developer and these one star reviews really hurt.
Almost awesome!
Matthew time for an update please. 1- Would love to see 4 more notes after the Gsharp the last note on watch screen. Please add A Bflat B and C 2- Nice big sound from watch but temperamental. Sometimes doesn't stop, or volume increases by itself. Otherwise awesome app. Thank you.
Very good - just needs a minor tweak
This is a no frills pitch pipe. It works well. The only thing that would make it perfect for me is if you were able to fix the instrument type. I prefer the clarinet tone, but it doesn’t remember it between uses - I have to set it each time because it defaults back to the (harsher) digital.

Does not install
Cannot get it to install on my Watch. It does not show up as installed nor as available.
Update: I rebooted the iPhone and the Watch, and was able to install.
Please note: it might be a pecluliarity in iOS. My Watch is a series 4. The phone is a 6S Plus. When I rebooted and saw that tinypitch was available to install on the Watch, I tapped install. Several other apps, which were already installed, started to install as well. I tapped the spinners on each of those other apps, and for each of them I got the message that it was uninstalling. And indeed, they were uninstalled, and I had to install them again.
Anyway, TinyPitch is now installed on my Watch, and it is exactly what I need.

I can’t wait to use this for the early childhood music classes I teach! Each song must begin on the correct starting pitch and in the past I’ve always had to carry around a pitch pipe. This is game changing! I love my Apple Watch! So many fun new possibilities. Thanks TinyPitch 👍🏼🎶
UPDATE: also the developer is a musician himself and super cool, I reached out to him to ask for a feature (setting a default instrument selection so it won’t revert back to TONE) and he’s going to fix that in the next update! THANKS Matthew!

Finally a good pitch pipe for Apple Watch!
As a female musician, I thank you! My clothing seldom includes pockets and so a pitch pipe, tuning fork, or iPhone are all one more thing I need to carry by hand and potentially misplace throughout my day. Not anymore!
This solves so many things and it is by far the best option available for the Apple Watch. I love that I can adjust the volume and instrument sound.

It’s easy to tell that this was created by and for professional musicians. It is simple enough for elementary students to use yet crafted with attention to the most subtle details useful to pros who need quick, consistent and flawless access to reference pitch in a variety of settings. 10/10
Best Pitch Pipe App
Tiny Pitch is by far the best pitch pipe app for the Apple watch. It's quick and easy to use. The wide range of volume makes it the perfect tool to do everything from giving a pitch to a big choir for everyone to hear to pitch checking so quietly that no one else can. As a working classical musician, it is so nice not having to remember to bring a tuning fork or pitch pipe with me every day every day, because it lives on my wrist now! Highly recommend spending the $1.99 for this awesome app.
