RIVER LEVELS FOR CROATIA, IN REAL TIME The water level screen brings live gauge readings from the public Hrvatske vode monitoring network straight into the app. It finds the stations nearest to you and shows the current level in centimetres, the flow in cubic metres per second, the exact time of the last reading, the distance from your spot and the operator's flood alert state. When several gauges sit along your stretch of river you switch between them with a single tap and see how the water is arriving from upstream. A single number tells you little on its own, so every reading comes with a trend. The app reads multi-day river discharge and works out whether the water is rising, falling or holding steady, with the change in percent against three days ago and a fourteen-day chart: the last seven days behind you and a seven-day forecast ahead. That is what actually moves fish, whether it is water rising after rain, the drop as a flood wave passes, or the calm once everything settles. Readings in centimetres cover the Croatian gauge network, while the trend works anywhere you fish. Old decommissioned gauges are flagged rather than passed off as current, and where the model can only describe the wider catchment the app says so plainly. CLOSED SEASONS, BEFORE YOU CAST The closed season screen lists the protected period for every species, adjusted to the country you are fishing in, across 13 countries. Every fish in the advisor carries a mark while its season is closed, so you know before you cast and not after. Your country is detected automatically and can also be set by hand in the settings. Search for a place by name or pick it on the map, save it to your locations and move between your spots from a single row at the top of the screen. The forecast, solunar tables, advisor and river levels all recalculate for the spot you choose, so you can compare two rivers before deciding where to spend the day. The advisor weighs wind, air pressure, temperature, cloud cover and the moon phase to give a clear recommendation for the hours ahead, backed by a seven-day forecast rated hour by hour. Alongside it you get a detailed weather breakdown, solunar tables and moon phases, and a home-screen widget that can notify you when the best window opens. Keep track of your results in the catch log, complete with photos, location and personal statistics. The built-in species guide covers 21 European freshwater fish, from carp, pike, perch and zander to wels catfish, trout, grayling and largemouth bass, with notes on habitat, behaviour, the baits that work best and minimum sizes, all available in 14 languages.
