Wholesome dating app

Wholesome approach to the dating game! I really enjoyed the friendship aspect of the app and reading what my friends had to say when hyping me up.

A refreshing take on dating apps

This dating app is unlike any other—in the best way. The concept of Toasts replacing bios was daunting at first, but turned out to be the refreshing dating app twist I didn’t know I wanted and ended up loving.

If anyone is familiar with the Subtle Asian Dating Facebook page, this app might seem familiar in concept (hype up your single friends). It was honestly so great getting to see what my friends were saying about me—I mean, my friends areee the hypest of hype women. Need an instant mood boost? Peep your Toasts and voilà.

Also enjoyed being able to easily play hypewoman for my friends minus the pressure of posting on a platform like SAD or pulling out all the stops in an in-person “have you met Ted”-type encounter.

On the flip side, seeing what people Toast about their own friends was a hoot. I found many Toasts to be funny, candid, contextualizing, and validating—all in one. Not to mention, Toasts seem to serve well as easy convo starters, so that’s always a plus.

Overall, I’m glad to have found a dating app where the pressure of crafting a perfectly curated profile was gone, where my friends and I could Toast (and roast, ha!) each other, and where the guys' profiles seemed authentically real in multiple senses.
