Ads Version is Awful

The way the ads are implemented in this app is just about the worse I’ve ever seen. They happen frequently and last far too long each time. Once you are finally allowed to close out of the ads, the program is frozen much of the time and the ad just keeps playing. You have to close the app and restart it to continue. Unless you’re planning to pay for this, stay well away from it.

Learning your first language

Tobo really helps with learning your first language. No problems and little to no ads. There are many lessons and categories to learn from. The games also help! When I don’t have the patience to just study the games put in extra fun! 100% recommend

Great app

So first of all it’s not an app that just teaches you a bunch of unused greetings, and stuff like that. Second it teaches you everyday words you would use in a conversation in Iceland like car I’d orð. Over all 5 stars! + free!

Day One

Just did the first lesson. So far the app works OK. But it bugs me that they DO NOT teach us how to pronounce the letters that we don’t have in English. They want to teach me the verbs “to change” and “to fall” in lesson one (why?), but I have no idea how to pronounce the letters… so then I’m trying to listen to find them inside words and they sound different in different words? Is that a ‘ss’ or an ‘sh’? I can’t tell. Ugh.
