The aesthetics are beautiful. But there are so many bugs it’s impossible to play it.

This is a great game to play on the couch while relaxing before bed. Lovely art, lovely atmosphere, low tension.
There was a bug with the pass-and-play AI but it's all fixed now. Very grateful to see this older game is still being supported by the developers!

Nice app version of the board game
I love the board game so I got the app to have a way to play it occasionally on the go. It does exactly that. There are a few things I wished for that are missing. As cute as the animations are I wished there was a way to skip or fast forward them after having played it a bit. I also wished the expansions of the board game were included, even if it’s a separate purchase.
I can’t say anything about the online play, it seems nobody is ever online when I play.

Great but issues.
It’s a great game! But there are a couple of bugs. I tried to do online play and play with one of my friends, but it kept crashing. I also can’t figure out how to make an online account to get an achievement. That brings us to the next topic: achievements. There are a couple of easy ones, but one of them is literally to be the best player in the world. WHY?! Other than that’s the bots almost always just go the spot in front of you. Also what’s the puppet for on pass and play. There’s always just a puppet and a player has to move him and that means there’s always an extra player. Other than that, it’s amazing.

Can’t play online
Update: Even after the patch, the game is still unplayable! After arriving at the first inn checkpoint and finishing the meal, players get locked out. | Bought the game to play online with someone but there is a bug that makes it so that when both players have joined, it becomes two concurrent games that play at the same time. Makes it unplayable.

Bugs: Player Count
Just bought the game and was excited to try and learn before purchasing the physical game. Unfortunately, I’ve run into some bugs at various player counts.
Solo seems fine.
Pass and play 2-player also seems fine.
3-player with 1 AI generates a 4-player game with 4-player game with 1 AI.
4-player with 2 AI doesn’t load at all.
5-player with 3 AI doesn’t load at all.
Didn’t test all player counts. Just wanted to get something with AI instead of the neutral player to teach my wife the ropes.

Pass and Play isnt working
The game is beaultiful, but the pass and play version crashes when adding bots to play along

Recent update broke pass n play
Everything was great before the last update. But now in pass n play the game doesn’t load. Just black screen . Please fix it
Font Issue
The stylized font for Japanese looks great, but the developer should not have used it for Chinese. This is because Kanji does not cover all Chinese characters. When you use a Japanese font for Chinese, many Chinese characters do not even exist in such a font, so they have to fallback to the default font provided by the OS, resulting in a really messy GUI.

Like this game. Really, love this game. But it needs the expansions. Hopefully the new developers will bring that to us.

Great adaptation
Loved the board game but it isn’t always easy to get three people to play. So it’s nice to be able to play solo.
Only problem seems to a bug where I choose a meal at the last inn and it doesn’t give me the points. Doesn’t happen every time and it’s not limited to one character but it happens frequently enough to notice.
Other than it’s a great adaptation both in game play and visual design.

Great game, but waiting for expansions
It’s a great game and I play it with my partner all the time. Unfortunately the expansion packages are not included and we are tired of the characters available.

A beautiful, relaxing game which has had any earlier issues fixed by the developers. Take a vacation along the coast, with wonderfully animated characters and locations.
Now we’re waiting on the wonderful Crossroads and Matsuri expansions.
Crossroads turns every location into a choice, turning a game of hopscotch into a piece of real strategy, as you can now choose legendary souvenirs, end of game bonuses, one off powers, a risky round of gambling, and more.
Matsuri adds many new characters and adds an event at each step of the journey which affects the game, greatly improving variation and replayability.
And maybe even… promos and the New Encounters? 🤞
Even without these, my girlfriend and I love playing this game. Once they’re here, it’ll take over many dinners and game nights each week. Can’t wait!
