How much will the tolls on my holiday drive cost? This app works it out – for any route through Europe, broken down by country. ENTER A ROUTE, SEE THE COST Type in start and destination, choose your vehicle, done. You immediately see what vignettes, distance-based tolls, tunnel and bridge charges add up to – and how much of it falls in which country. THE MAP SHOWS WHERE YOU PAY The route is colour-coded: green means toll-free, blue means a vignette is required, red means distance-based toll. A euro symbol marks tunnels, bridges and special toll sections. You can see at a glance where your money goes. FOR EVERY VEHICLE Motorcycle, car, SUV, van, car with trailer, motorhome up to or over 3.5 t, or lorry with axle count and emission class. Vehicle height and weight are adjustable – exactly what decides the tariff class in Italy, Slovenia, France and Croatia. FIND THE CHEAPEST VIGNETTE For a return trip the app checks whether one continuous vignette is cheaper or two of the shortest. Surprisingly often, the second option wins. A CHEAPER ROUTE, IF THERE IS ONE After every calculation the app looks for an alternative route with lower tolls and shows you the trade-off – how much you save and how much longer it takes. WHAT ELSE YOU NEED Not just prices: the app tells you where you must register in advance (Portugal otherwise sends fines automatically), where the Green Card insurance certificate is needed, where low-emission stickers are required and where cash in local currency makes sense. Distance-based tolls are calculated with average rates per country and typically differ by less than 15 %. Where it gets uncertain, the app tells you – instead of faking precision.
