Time counting issues

When I move the screen to the virtual machine, the timing stops and it does not even adjust when I switch focus back. So 25 minutes can last for hours.
Time must be calculated from the starting point, and not by small subtractions.
And the program should not go to sleep when it loses focus.

Great app with some minor flaws

I like the fresh approach and UX of the app, but it feels a bit couter-productive: the pendulum looks great, but it distracts from work, and causes to watch the beautiful meditative pendulum instead of focusing on serious work. Would be great to have an option to disable this animation.
Also, the pull-down move to trigger the start feels a bit inefficient, a simple start button would work better (form follows function …)

The strike of balance

I have tried many pomodoro apps very simplistic and other with a great deal of features. I find this one as a soft spot for me. It strikes the balance in necessary feature without introducing complexity. A great app for individual focus

Syncing doesn't seem to exist

The reason I bought this app is specifically to replace Focus; the primary feature I need is the syncing between iOS (specifically, the Apple Watch) and macOS. (When I walk away from my computer after starting a break, I want the "break over" notification on my watch, and the ability to extend the timer, etc.)

I've installed this app on both my iOS and macOS machines, and have yet to see anything like syncing of the timer; there also doesn't seem to be any relevant option in the settings?

I do see that the developer added a menubar item, though, as requested by the previous reviewer; I have to at least give one extra star for that sort of developer attention. Hopefully they adress the syncing, then, as well!

Two stars so far

Synchronisation does not working at all. Nothing like flowless. If you start on the phone it does not appear on the iMac or even Apple Watch. Match more stupid thing there is no notification on Apple Watch from iPhone. Dude thats crazy. I'll change to 5 stars immediately when you fix this:)

Great Pomodoro App!

The sync between watch and phone is perfect!

Great app just not 100% sure how to use it

I’ve created tasks and setup how many cycles I want for each task. I’ve started my task, but now what?? I have no clue.. When am I supposed to finish my task?? I’ve gone through 6 cycles on a 4 cycle task and it didn’t stop on its own. What does finishing a task even do?? What is a cycle?? I have so many questions!!!

I like it

Simple, well designed, one of very few apps that works on apple watch. Doesn't sync active session to the watch, but does sync that data, which is good enough for me. Thank you!

nice

The best pomodoro on iOS hands down. I’ve tried a handful. If you stumble across the app and have been in search of something for time management / time awareness, you can stop your search now.

Thank you so much! I will continue to make this app better.

Best Pomodoro Timer I've Used...

I've tried a few others, but pomodoro timers haven't really stuck with me... until now. There's a combination of really smart features here, and a simple design that makes that functionality available without any fuss. I love the iOS14 widget, and the fact that you can repeat completed tasks— I've set up a morning working routine as a series of pomodoros that I can rerun each morning. And it syncs across devices! TomoNow has quickly become an essential part of my toolkit.

Thank you so much! I will continue to make this app better.

In app purchase said free but I was charged >$20 via Apple Pay.

This is corrupt.

Response from developer

I don't know what happened. But It was impassable to charge more than $20. It might be App Store charged other apps you bought before in one time when you download this to save transaction fee. I suggest you check your App Store receipt to confirm, you can also send a screenshot of the receipt to my mail through the “contact developer” button in the app. I will see if I can help.

beautiful app

5 star, nice ui and sounds

doesn’t sync with apple watches

the app so cool, but there are several cons:
1. phone and watches apps are independent. if i start timer via the iphone, apple watches app won’t know about it, there won’t be any timers set up.
2. no way to pause a timer.
3. it automatically starts a break after a timer ends, which is not always convenient. it would be better to have an option in settings that lets you change that behaviour.

It's very difficult to sync the watch with the phone. And there are also some connection problems caused by Apple. You can see the progress of the phone on the watch in the latest version. But it does not always work. I won’t add a pause feature to is app. TomoNow is a Pomodoro timer. The Pomodoro technique says a Pomodoro should not be split, and it’s very important. So when you need to pause, you should think about delaying the thing that causes you to pause, or start a new cycle again later. You can learn more about the Pomodoro technique here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomodoro_Technique You can enable the ”break prepare” feature. It will give you 30 seconds of preparation time before the break.

great app.

love the syncing between devices and the slick plots.

I just really wish it had a menu bar timer so you could still see your progress while the app is minimized.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback! I will try to add this in a future version.

Promising new Pomodoro app

Like GTD apps, the best Pomodoro app is the one that works for you. I think TomoNow 2 is going to be that app for me. Its beautiful, modern design, gesture-based user interface, and just the right amount of task management are all to be applauded. So far in my experience, though, the iCloud syncing (an IAP feature) isn’t yet reliable, so I’m using the app on my iPad only. I would also like to see support or Siri Shortcuts in the future, which would further modernize the app.

Thank you for your feedback↖(^ω^)↗ I will continue to make TomoNow better! (There is a bug that prevents iCloud to sync, I will fix it in the next version. )
