Love it! The Whammy pedal is perfect!

Tones are great. That said, not all the tones are great, but most are very useable. I never use presets anyway. Create your own patches, and the sky is the limit. Have bought some of the amps and pedals, they do not disappoint...it’s a smorgasbord of sounds for not a lot of dough. I’m a seasoned musician ang studio guy,and I’m having a blast with this! Get it! PS. Recording is a breeze, and the studio is very straightforward, good for noobs ..

Not the Pro app

This app crashes a LOT and doesn’t work with IAA. The Tonestack Pro app that I found after getting frustrated with this is great. This was a waste of 10 dollars and really shouldn’t be on App Store any longer.

Avoid Yonac

Yonac abandons apps after a short period. ToneStack and Magellan Jr are gone. All the money I spent on the apps and in app purchases? Gone.

The new ToneStack appears to be abandoned as of a few months ago.

Unless you want to treat them like a charity for which you don't get an itemized deduction, avoid them.

FAQ

What is ToneStack?

ToneStack is a universal app for signal processing, specifically designed for guitarists. It offers a large selection of virtual amplifiers, cabinets, and effects that are modeled after real analog circuits using advanced 'Virtual Circuit' technology. This allows for a warm, responsive tone with natural analog behavior.

What are the key features of ToneStack?

Key features include a vast library of amps, cabs, and effects, the ability to run up to 64 units simultaneously in a highly customizable signal chain, an 8-track recorder, a built-in tuner, and a metronome. It also supports MIDI control and Inter-App Audio.

How much does ToneStack cost?

The app is free to download and includes a selection of classic amps and effects. Users can expand their collection by purchasing additional amps, cabinets, and effects through in-app purchases, offering a flexible way to customize their sound library.

What kind of sound quality can I expect?

ToneStack utilizes 'Virtual Circuit' technology to digitally mirror real analog topologies, aiming to recreate the intricate designs of actual analog units. This results in a warm, responsive tone with the natural behavior characteristic of analog gear, distinguishing it from apps that use simpler EQing or gimmicks.

Can I record music with ToneStack?

Yes, ToneStack includes a powerful 8-track recorder, with the first two tracks available for free. You can also use the built-in Tapedeck to quickly record ideas or create loops, and manipulate audio with pitch and time shifting features.
