Great idea
Great idea but execution is bad. The app is very buggy, and it only sometimes works with your phone- as in you can’t play anything through your phone audio (such as playing with a YouTube backing track) the app barely works at changing between channels/ sounds on the Tonex Plug.
Why???
Really? This is what you give us? This app sucks!!!

The only reason I bought the tonex one plus is because you refuse to update the iOS version of tonex….turns out what you refuse to update works better than this.

TONEX One+ support severely lacking
I have tried every possible thing I’ve found on the internet, in manuals, and anything else I could think of to get this app to see the presets on my One+ pedal. My pedal connects to the app, but the app is useless because its presets won’t load in the app and I can’t transfer anything TO the pedal. All of the slots are empty and greyed out. My fingers are crossed for an update soon because I’m incredibly disappointed!!!

Connectivity issues at worst
App sucks big time. I tried to reach out to the developers and raised the issues about connectivity, it doesn’t work. Everytime I re-installed the app, it worked only for the first time and then it starts giving issues like screen freeze, for Tonex One+ it doesn’t let me switch/save presets. Please repair it ASAP, users are having hard time.

Won’t Connect
App will not connect to the pedal, no matter what I try.
Rebooted the phone & pedal several times with no luck connecting.

A hot mess of issues
Bought a Tonex one plug. Had some fun making sounds, but can’t save any of them, can’t log in, can’t download anything, can’t adjust the balance of the audio I’m playing along with. Can’t even register the product because it will not let me log in. Some good sounds, but too many issues to recommend anyone get this and think it’s going to work. A shame, because I’d planned on picking up a tonex one, but what’s the point if the app only partially works?

Connection issues and lack of a landscape mode for iPad.
Having connection quirks since day one and pretty much every time I use this app. Transferring preset data between Tonex Plug and app is extremely slow and fails almost the every time when trying to save to the Tonex Plug.
The UI would also be better with responsive fullscreen landscape mode on iPad, just like the Fender Tone, Positive Grid Spark, NUX MightyAmp, and SonicLink PocketMaster apps do.
Just to name a few of the competitors that actually use the screen’s space so much more efficient.
Otherwise pretty cool editor. But most definitely the slowest editor of all the mobile editors for Bluetooth headphone amps that iIown.

hot garbage
I use the same password manager to set up my account at the website. It is impossible to log into the app. This is hot garbage. It makes me regret this purchase of the tone plug.
Promising but..
So the upside is the immense tone library…and the quality of sound is very good. Unfortunately the app is glitchy and slow for iOS. No landscape mode for iPad..and I’ve had frequent Bluetooth connectivity issues. Overall the tone shaping ability of Positive Grid is better, imo

Beside a few connection quirks, this is a fairly decent app. But it could be even so much better though if the UI would also switch to fullscreen landscape mode on iPad, just like the Fender Tone, Positive Grid Spark, NUX MightyAmp, and SonicLink PocketMaster apps do. Just to name a few of the competitors that actually use the screen’s space so much better. I know you IK guys can do this. Hoping for a future update that will bring such an improvement! 🙏
