Scam App
This is an app pretending to be audacity. If you go to the audacity website they are web-based only. I wish I had known this before paying a subscription. It is pretty basic in functionality, and not compatible with the real audacity to work with the cloud or anything like that. This should probably be taken down because they are using audacity branding which is free and open source to get money for a very basic recording app that is not even as good as the desktop open source version of audacity. I just wanted an ability to record from my phone when doing so on the computer wasn’t an option.

Misleading “Free” App — Locked Behind Paywall
The app is listed as free, but nearly all core features are locked behind a subscription. That’s misleading. If the app requires payment to function properly, it should be upfront about that or just be a paid app from the start.
I’d much rather pay once for a fully usable app than download something that’s essentially unusable without a subscription. This kind of model just wastes people’s time and creates frustration.

Difficult to navigate and get started
Not user friendly. Tiny text so I couldn't see what I'm clicking. Managed to do a audio test record and couldn't work out how to do anything with it. Subscription offer popped up every time I clicked on something. Shame because I liked the older version.
Scam
This app isn’t the same as the desktop free audio software. It doesn’t let you use the app unless you subscribe, but Audacity is free. Take a look at the developer name, it should be Muse Group.

Don't even bother downloading it for free if it makes you pay to use the app. Not even worth hitting the download button.

impersonation of an open source foundation
this is unrelated to audacity, i only used the app for 3 seconds, saw a paywall and realized this app is using the audacity brand to scam people. DO NOT DOWNLOAD! i think this is just an audio recorder anyways but this breach of trust is beyond unacceptable. if i could rate below one star i would.
