Becomes unbearable after 50 chapters

I was listening to Shadow Slave, a great web novel, but after I got to chapter 50, I had to start paying for everything. It’s completely overpriced for just a few episodes. Genuinely stupid. I hate how apps collectively agreed to make everything locked behind a paywall that has no free options. Just let me listen to ads for god’s sake. There is genuinely no point of using this app anymore when I can just get the rest of the chapters for free elsewhere.

Pay per episode would be fine if the cost wasn’t $.77 per episode and the series over 1000 episodes. I’m not paying $1k for a book I could buy on Audible for $10.

I absolutely hate the way. This app is set up. The prices arent posted with the individual episodes so it just takes most of your coins before you even realize what’s happening. The entire interface is bogus and designed to get you to spend as much as possible
