Great App overall
Not as up to date as I would like. Markdown support would be cool to at least read other people’s posts who use it n
no way to see full URLs before going to them
you used to be able to preview a link in-app, but now the only way to do so is to long-press on the URL, copy it, and paste it somewhere else (like Notes or whatever). Would be nice to quickly review a URL so I can know what I'm potentially tapping on. using iOS 17 fwiw.
Doesn't work any longer on iphone 14ProMax and iOS 26
Used to be my favorite but after upgrading to 26 the app no longer opens and just sits on the loading screen and eventually times out... Very sad to have lost this tool...
Gut durchdachte App und hübsche Animationen
Bin neu auf iOS und habe einige opensource Apps vermisst, aber zumindest für Mastodon bin ich nun besser dran als vorher! Richtig gut durchdachte App. Nutze Listen und liebe, wie leicht ich sie im Home Feed wechseln kann. Außerdem auch super hübsch gestaltet alles!
Zwei Vorschläge: mir fehlt zu sehen, mit welcher Sichtbarkeit ich schon gepostete Toots versehen hatte. Und: könnte bei den Profil-Einzelviews noch stehen, wieviele Posts schon gemacht wurden? Vielen Dank für diese super App!

Glass downgrade
Glass "update" which adds more taps and hide buttons from the bottom of the screen which is reserve exclusively for buttons to be pressed

Nice new look, but one bug needs fixing
Sharing an image has stopped working. Long press on an expanded image does bring up a menu, but when you press ‘share’ nothing happens. It should bring up a list of apps to share with.
App is a gift that keeps on giving
I just realised that the notification sound is custom, brilliant 😂 (phone’s normally on silent). The “toot” animation is best enjoyed with 1 bar of reception. The app is faster and caches data better than the official app.

Nichts läuft mehr flüssig!
Seit dem aktuellen Update v26.0 ist die App auf meinem iPad kaum noch nutzbar. Beim scrollen ruckelt alles und beim Umschalten zwischen den Timelines dauert es häufig Sekunden, bis irgendwas passiert. Die vorherige Version lief dagegen absolut flüssig!

I started with Toot and tried many others but for some reason I keep coming back to it. It’s a top notch app and I’m keen for the latest update.
Too much and too little
Looks pretty at first but it’s too idiosyncratic, gets quickly
tiresome, no direct sign-in on first use, no settings for basic things like font size, wastes 20% of the main toolbar on a niche feature. If that sounds appealing, then it’s great, but I wanted something more practical.

Not updated for iOS 26
Lots of basic features like "writing a post" are half-busted now. Don't buy unless there's an update. Bummer... I liked this app a lot.
Posting gifs would rule
You know, with a gif browser like gyphy (or better). But on top of that, the alt-text editor is pretty frustrating. If you upload an image from the clipboard, switch apps to cooy the longtext you screenshotted, and paste it into the editor, you can't, it will say it failed to upload the image. It works if the image is saved to the library, but thats annoying! And the alt text editor is frequently hard to quit, and the guides obfuscate the image... It's not ideal
But other than that, perfect app, mostly. Ok, bookmarks are a bit hidden, there are some other oddities. But otherwise, perfect app.

Abandoned app
I used to use Toot! regularly, but it hasn't been updated in 2 years. That makes it a possible security risk. Mastodon has become a thing of the past, I'm afraid.
Animations too slow, no way to turn them off
Was a bit skeptical of a paid mastodon client, the thing that peaked my interests was it looked like in one screenshot it had a feature to use multiple accounts from different instances, which is extremely useful if your part of a system, as i am, however upon downloading it It’s feeling really slow, with these animations, don’t get me wrong the animations are nice, and the way it handles CW’s is also quite nice, but Id like an option to turn them off or at least speed them up as, they take way too long.. I also felt weirded out by the “for men” paid extras, in an already paid app, I generally don’t like gender stereotypes and I don’t appreciate references to them in my mastodon clients, I’m a trans woman, It’s mastodon, I joined partly to avoid that sort of thing,

This app is no longer being actively developed, hasn’t had an update in over 2 years. Should be removed from the App Store as it is an abandoned app.
Toot! Toller Mastodon Client - leider nicht für Macs mit Apple Silicon
Toot! Ist ein toller Client um Mastodon auf iPhone und iPad zu nutzen. Über iCloud wird sogar die Leseposition snychronisiert.
Schade ist allerdings, dass man Toot nicht zur Installation auf Apple Silicon Macs angeboten bekommt. Es wäre hilfreich, wenn das Lesen und die Synchronisation der Lesepostion auch am Mac möglich wäre.
Vielleicht mag der Entwickler das ja mich ergänzen.
