Does what its suppose to
I saw the negative review and had my doubts but i did half my reels max capacity in mono and then half of the diameter of the reels suggested line which would theatrically be double the line needed for braided line needed, and after inputting everything it was accurate. Tried at 25% diameter and also 70% line diameter for braid and that was also accurate so its a raito equation which is needed. Found online how many yards my reel, reels per crank and tested it with a sharpie and some spare line, did some math to find out how many cranks of mono.
I spooled ~500 yards of mono and then 300 yards of braid on the reel and it turned out perfect. When your reel holds that much you want accurate amounts as buying line even in bulk is pricey, and it filled it 1/8th inch from the spools lip which was perfect.
Another way if you have a spare spool is to spool the braid onto it, then mono, and then transfer it to the new spool which would then be mono backing and then braid on topper. But the app did a great job, especially if you dont have a spare spool.

Not sure it is accurate
Had some issues and questions using it. Zero response from developer. Seems abandoned.

Needed to put line on my new fishing reel (Daiwa Saltist BG 50H) and I didn't want to fork over a ton of money for a full spool of braid (500+ yards - $50). Bought 300 yards instead for $25 and used the app to quicky determine I could fill in with small spool for mono for $6. An awesome useful tool that I'll continue to use each spring when I reline all my reels! It also includes cool links to different braid to mono knots that I plan to use. Thanks!
