Shell is an approved supplier of TOP TIER™ fuel. Some of the TOP TIER™ Approved Fuel Stations do not post stickers and that was the reason for the creation of the Station Finder App. The app confirms if a station is TOP TIER™ Approved and the stickers are an added bonus on the pump. As far as the quality of the fuel, audits are completed each year to verify that the fuel still meets TOP TIER™ approval. Also, sometimes the stations turn over very quickly and it can take some time to update our station list on the website and app.

Some of the TOP TIER™ Approved Fuel Stations do not post stickers and that was the reason for the creation of the Station Finder App. The app confirms if a station is TOP TIER™ Approved and the stickers are an added bonus on the pump. As far as the app displaying an incorrect station, we are urgently working on correcting these updates when we are notified. Some stations change so frequently it may take some time for the app to be updated. However, in your case, your were in luck, because both Mobil and Shell are TOP TIER™ Approved! Thank you for notifying us of this station change.

That’s not true. There is no area of the app that gives that information.

If the station is qualified as a TOP TIER station, it will be added to the app. If not, we will follow up with the station owner.

Thank you for your feedback. TOP TIER™ gasoline is available in most parts of the US. NC has thousands of outlets with gasoline available. Diesel has more limited availability and no locations in NC. While the gasoline station network is robust, we are working to expand diesel availability.

I shouldn’t need to type location, the app should know where I am. Yes, I registered and log on.

Thank you for your feedback. Non-ethanol fuel support is something we’re actively evaluating for future updates. The app uses your location to show nearby stations, but manual search is also available if needed. We appreciate you registering and sharing your input—it helps us improve the app

Not top tier stations
***Update***
I downloaded the app again after the response from the developer in hopes that it did what it says it does. The very first two Exxon stations it takes me to are NOT TOP TIER! I see zero improvements from the previous time I used it. The concept is great, but this app is completely useless.

Not accurate
Update: I received a response from the developer that database has been updated. I checked four days after receiving the notice of the database update and the stations listed as Top Tier in our area are mostly not Top Tier. The stations listed are mostly inaccurate on V1.4.
