Great combo of flexible free fun

$0 price is right. 100% experimentation with experimental noise. Obscure control UX promotes exploration well. Bravo.

Love at first glitch!

This is an improvisers dream/nightmare… And I love it because of that. As someone who has been producing and performing on various synthesizers since the mid-80s… This is one of those “machines“ that defies many norms simultaneously as it capitalizes on new ones. I hope this app and it’s associated website continue to be updated and stay relevant because I think it’s a gift in more ways than not, as well as a musical challenge. All instruments are challenging in different ways, but this one in ways that (for me) are far more appreciated than understood. I like the challenge, and I like the surprise. Many thanks to the developer!

Please update!!

I just recently discovered this app and love it. I would love a little more explanation on what each letter and box represent to be able to predict the sounds a little better for performing. Maybe even an effects section to further mangle the sound. I know chances are slim that this or RISCy will get updated but you would be doing a great service to the noise genre by giving this a refresh.

One of my first apps, still the best.

Half a decade after downloading, It's still the one I use to show people what music can be.

The bleeding edge!

It makes me so happy to see this get an update! This is one of the first music apps I ever downloaded, and while the results are often somewhat harsh, this app is a real 'eye-opener' for some of the truly original and unusual things one can do with music and sound in iOS.

Excellent Chaos

Best sound tool aside from Tweakybeat. Hopefully this will inspire more sound art apps in the future. Beautiful, disgusting tones. It's like an enormous feedback loop with many unlabeled equalizers, distortion pedals, delays, low/hipass, etc. Fantastic noise device.

...

If I knew what the point of this was, it would have gotten less stars

Genius.

My ears hurt....that's why I love this app!!!!

Highly engaging!

Probably not for everyone, but definitely great for me. Great for exploring alternative sound aesthetics and being blind to the actual parameters you are controlling is a great exercise in letting your ears do the work unfettered by cerebral filters.

Thanks to this app, I now know about the fascinating world of livecoding. Thanks for this great new toy/tool.

Truly random

If you want a generator of sonic randomness then this is for you. Could imagine it being used live at an experimental music "happenings". Every performance would be unique.

wow

now i know what pOOP LOOP TATTOO pOOL sounds like. and it sounds amazing.

really love it

along with the other app by this developer, this is an amazing creative use of strange sound synthesis, and its being free only makes it twenty times better. thanks so much for this! its like circuit bending on the iphone, no clue what im doing but it sounds greattt!!!!!!!!!!

awesomegood

the best noise app i have. a glitch head's delight.

Very nice

Super awesome love that random button.. CrAzY sounds! Like pouring coke through an old 8 track playing full blast..

I dig this like another way amazing free app tweakybeat.

Certainly interesting.

Wow, what a confusing yet exciting little app! All I can ask for is maybe a save function for patterns as well as maybe a sleaker GUI. Maybe even incorporating some pitch control?
All around fun, definitely in need of a save button.

Very cool!

Like some other people said, it would be nice if the sliders were a bit easier to use. Apart from that, I love it for its bleepy and crunchy noises!

Awesome

If you love glitchy bleepy bloopy sounds then this is for you. So much fun and so good that I would have happily paid for it.

Ummm........

Frustratingly, deliciously cryptic...would be nice to have an "expert" mode where you could actually see the controls...and perhaps have a way to adjust pitch. I think of this thing as a buchla skeletoid nectarine blastocyst with social adjustment issues. Nicholas...how about a synth app along these lines with bizarre editing controls?

Top app lap

Got this a couple of hours ago have have hardly been able to stop giggling with beepy squelchy glee. NOT everyone's cup of proverbial, but if you love IDM you'll love this. Autechre eat your lungs out.

Fab!

I love this app. Tremendous noises! I wish that the faders were a little easier to operate. Otherwise perfect.
