About

Torchlight Mapper is a dungeon mapping app for tabletop roleplaying players. You are the one at the table drawing the map — this is the graph paper, redrawn for your iPhone and iPad. Sketch rooms as they are described. Paint passages cell by cell. Drop doors, stairs, and item markers where they belong. When the party doubles back through a corridor you already drew, everything is still there, to scale, on the grid. MAP AS YOU GO - Add square, rectangular, round, oval, and hexagonal rooms, then reshape any of them into an irregular outline by painting cells - Paint passages of any shape, with per-segment widths - Place doors, secret doors, and up or down stairways - Drop item markers with icons for treasure, statues, water, rubble, and more - Attach notes to any room or passage - Multiple levels per dungeon, with stairways linking them BUILT FOR A LIVE SESSION - Undo and redo everything, so a misheard description costs one tap - Lock rooms and corridors so a stray finger cannot drag your map - A torch timer, with an optional notification when it burns out - Measure distances in grid squares or feet MAKE IT YOURS - Five map styles: classic, classic blue, parchment, cross hatch, and ink sketch - Optional hand-drawn roughness, so straight walls look sketched - Light and dark themes, including a warm torchlight palette KEEP AND SHARE YOUR MAPS - Export any level to PDF or PNG - Print directly - Share a whole dungeon as a .torchlight file another mapper can open - Search every room, note, item, passage, stairway, and log entry - Keep an adventure log alongside the map PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Torchlight Mapper collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no tracking, and no network connection. Your maps stay on your device unless you explicitly export or share them. Torchlight Mapper is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by any tabletop game publisher.

1.1.0

Faster maps, and a long list of fixes from TestFlight feedback. SMOOTHER ON LARGE MAPS Panning, zooming and dragging stay smooth on big dungeons. The editor now rebuilds only what changed, and draws only what is on screen. CRASHES AND FREEZES - Zooming in and out repeatedly could crash the editor. It no longer can. - A very large room size typed in feet could hang the app. Room sizes are now capped wherever they can be entered. - On a map wider than the screen, panning could stop responding before you reached the edge. Panning is now bounded by your map rather than by your screen, so every edge is reachable. EDITING - Erasing single cells of a painted passage now works. An erase tap on a corridor used to remove nothing. - Dragging an item drops it where you let go, instead of twice as far. - Pasting brings the view to the copy, so a pasted group cannot land off screen. - Resizing a room keeps its doorways in the wall you can see while you drag. - A corridor regenerated with a diagonal corner keeps its elbow, so it stays connected and walkable after you move or resize a room. - Undo and redo keep working on doors, markers and items after the map reloads. DOORS A door at a junction, or on a single painted cell, has no direction to infer. You can now set it yourself: select the door, open Info, and choose Auto, Horizontal or Vertical. The choice is saved, can be undone, and travels with copies and shared files. LOCKING - Lock and Unlock are separate buttons when several pieces are selected, so neither direction costs two taps. - Items and stairways inside a locked room or corridor are locked with it, and dragging one pans the map instead of moving it.
