About

Toronto Subway Described gives you the layout of every station on the TTC subway and light rail network — entrances, levels, platforms, elevators. This app was designed primarily for people using Voiceover. WHAT'S INCLUDED Every station on Lines 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6: • Entrances, and which of them are wheelchair accessible • Station levels and how to move between them • Platform layouts — where the elevator, escalators, stairs and designated waiting area sit relative to the train • Elevator and escalator locations, with directions of travel • Accessible alternatives — what to do instead when an elevator is out • Station hours, parking, and bicycle facilities • Connecting subway, streetcar and bus routes Search across every line at once, or browse line by line. Lines can be reversed end to end when you're travelling the other way, and each line remembers which way you prefer. YOUR OWN NOTES Add notes to any station — which entrance is easiest, where the accessible door actually is, anything worth remembering next time. Notes sync between your own devices through iCloud, and can be shared with someone else as readable text or as a file their app can import and merge with their own. MADE TO GET OUT OF YOUR WAY Sections you don't need can be turned off, so a station screen shows only what matters to you. Station information is stored on your device, so it works underground with no signal. PRIVACY No account. No sign-in. No analytics, no tracking, no advertising. Your notes are stored on your device and in your own iCloud account. They are never sent to us, and we have no way to read them. Nothing about how you use the app is collected by anyone. A NOTE ON ACCURACY This app is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Toronto Transit Commission. Station information is compiled from publicly available TTC sources and may be incomplete or out of date. For elevator outages, service changes and anything time-sensitive, check ttc.ca directly. Found something wrong, or something that reads poorly with VoiceOver? Please get in touch — Settings has a Support option, and corrections are genuinely welcome.
