Not able to use until I have my friend download the app

I bought two totems so that I could bring one to let a friend borrow if needed. I have tried bonding them but because there is no way for me to register the second one on my account I’m just out of luck I guess… not a very thought through app if you ask me

Does NOT work. 🛑

It’s a cool idea, but the company does not have the support to make a functional product. Devices won’t pair with the app, won’t bond with each other, won’t connect to satellite, won’t update firmware… it’s a never ending stream of nonsense and frustration. It kills whatever the vibe of the night is and wastes vast amounts of time. Folks, just don’t buy these. Walk away!

Won’t stay connected to totem

Told him does not stay connected to the app, the confusing set up along with it, trying to find satellites and refusing to connect to each Totem and then the refusal to connect to the app. Once the total turned off or the app turns off as a hassle, have to restart it every single time you pull up the app.

Best App Ever!

From being able to customize my Bonds, to seeing them on a map, to 1 click software updates, this app has done well to aid and augment my Totem Compass Experience!

App update

After the latest app update, I can no longer connect to the Totem. The hotspot option for update doesn’t work. Was excited to try them at EDC. Will probably return them.

Update 0.10.0

After updating to the recent app version, it’s nearly impossible now to bluetooth connect to my totems now. Please app developers look over the recent version for bugs

Incredible hardware, app is questionable

Let me say first, the totem compass itself is insane. So useful.

What I found is that the compasses are actually less accurate when connected to the app, hence the lower score.

At this point that means the app is not very helpful to me, but the hardware has been a game changer!

Hi there! Thanks so much for the feedback. We're glad to hear you've found the Totem useful. We have observed some similar behavior to what you're describing, but this is primarily when indoors or in a location with poor GNSS Satellite coverage, as in those cases the Totem will default to using your phone's location, which typically is poor at ~20m accuracy. Typically in good conditions the Totems get sub-meter accuracy! We will continue to improve the app, please let us know if you have any other thoughts or feedback by reaching out to us at tribe@totemlab.com.

Fantastic Start

The app does as advertise and extremely helpful setting up the compasses. Also helps to tracks the version number of the compass and map view. Can’t wait to see what else they come up with. Truly a great company

Incredible experience using the App, can manage my Bonds much more easily, and the offline access is CLUTCH

Needs Totem Compass to Work

The app does nothing without a Totem Compass (and you have to update your Totem to make it app-compatible first) but such a game changer! Bond management and filtering is so clutch.
