Basically retouch was amazing and affordable in the beginning. Then they ruined it switching to a monthly subscription that was 300% higher than the initial full purchase price.
Predictably, they’ll respond you get to keep the original version so you don’t feel duped but the issue is - every app has updates at this look that somehow take advantage of AI. The difference is they don’t all choose to further monetize it. They also don’t mention how the original TOS didn’t include charging for updates.

Recent updates
The app is an excellent addition to a digital darkroom portfolio. However recent updates seem to have created a problem for existing subscribers, constantly requiring a “restore subscription” step. It’s something that needs to be urgently resolved.

Been using TouchRetouch for several years now. What a godsend! Haven’t found any other app to beat it! Kudos to the developer and team! Excellent app that keeps on getting better because they actually incorporate user feedback and suggestions.
Difficult and dishonest
I thought I’d agreed to a 7 day free trial but on day 3-4 they charged me. Besides I was not about to interact with their App. Difficult and dishonest.

Getting worse instead of better!
Why in the world aren’t you auto saving as we go along in our work? I’m just about ready to finish and the app just quits. White screen with a check mark and photo has disappeared! No way to go back and look at what I just worked on. It’s just gone and usually I have to restart the phone to get out of the app. And you’re putting in colors where there aren’t colors and you’re not good at taking out black. not to mention the blurring of what’s underneath what I’m trying to take out and not lifting up what I’m trying to take out leaving the background there. You need to find somebody that knows what they’re doing. Please fix this.

The best object eraser app!
I have been using retouch since they started and they still remain being the best one yet! So easy to use and extremely intuitive!
