This game is pretty fun, of course it has ads as a lot of games do, but you can just turn on airplane mode to get rid of them. There’s also a weird problem I have where sometimes the game just becomes slow, and it kinda ruins it for me because I have to end the run and restart it to get it to normal. But overall, the game is pretty fun. It’s a lot like Downwell, but instead of hosing down you go up!

Issue
Normally I do not have an issue with advertisements, as those are where companies such as Nitrome gets their revenue. I cannot in good faith criticize that especially since most of the time there are paid ways to get rid of them.
However.
In this case, there is some flawed execution. For one, they play after each level, which may not seem like an issue at first. Now may be the time to mention the small timer in the left hand corner which tracks the amount of time you’ve been in a run.
I soon discovered that, even while watching the ad, the timer does not stop. Which means that even while being forced to WATCH AN ADVERTISEMENT, you are still BURNING TIME that could be put towards making it through the level.
Now personally to me, I do not speedrun; That’s just not how I play video games. But I imagine it is quite disheartening to realize that your speedrun is based solely on what type of ads you get between levels.
Please. Do something about this. That is all I ask. You don’t need to remove them. Just find an alternative way to show the advert without affecting how fast a person can play the game. That is all I ask.

Very fun
The controls are spotty
The controls feel like they don’t connect 100% of the time which is a real drag. Mad fun game otherwise, but this kinda kills it for me.
Mostly fun
It’s pretty fun overall, but exiting the app and reentering it freezes it and the only way I found to get out is to kill the app. It also happens when you try to exit an ad and it takes you to the App Store.
Fun, yet difficult. Annoying bugs.
I love the game, but the only gripes I have are with the ads after every single level, which should be turned down to just after clearing a boss level, and an extremely annoying bug where if you close your phone or the app for more than a second, the game completely freezes and stops working, and you have to restart the app, which is extremely annoying mid-level. I was the furthest I’d ever gotten in the game, and close my phone for a couple minutes and returned to find out the game had frozen and wouldn’t respond at all. And after a few seconds the app closed itself, which has happened ever time it’s frozen.

Fun enough but flawed
Even after having this game on my phone for years and getting a good handle on the controls, the difficulty feels poorly executed and unfair. The bosses, mainly the final boss, are not well designed. They're either tedious and boring or frustrating to the point where success feels like pure luck. This is largely because of their huge health pools (the final boss is especially guilty here) and attacks that are not telegraphed whatsoever. If you didn't get lucky and find a good weapon before the boss, good luck. You'll have to whittle down it's health while trying desperately to avoid taking damage. You WILL take damage. If you did find a good weapon before the boss, you can drain its health in seconds. Honestly I feel like the main issue with this game could be fixed just by giving the bosses better animations where they clearly telegraph their attacks. The final boss is such a ridiculous difficulty spike as if the devs expected you to be some powerhouse by then. The handful of upgrades you get along the way really don't make you feel much more powerful, even if you got the exact upgrades you wanted. You're still largely at the mercy of luck and RNG. Not Nitrome's best work.

Still playing in 2025 !
This is a cool game, I love everything about it, but I would love to see an update to make it come back to life ! I would pay to make this game great again !
Only three bugs, played a lot
If you get damaged near a wall on the levels where a grinder breaks the floors you can get stuck in the wall, other levels too, but rarer.
A fun bug is finishing the game while still in the final boss floor, meaning the credits either don’t roll or aren’t visible. Requires rocket gun which will track the enemy generator. You fall to the floor and the game freezes.
Last, if you kill an enemy at the same time it kills you (while you are in the air) it will let you spend points to continue, but will not restore your health and you will not be able to move.

Я начал играть в эту игру 1,5 года назад и до сих пор ни в какую не огу от нее оторваться так как в этой игре слишком много экшена и куча всего. И мне очень грустно видеть как создаются другие проекты а этот вообще не продвигается и стоит без дела. Я считаю этот проект самой лучшей вашей игрой пожалуйста не забывайте про другие свои игры но и иногда обновляйте старые.

Das Spiel war schon immer sehr gut! In die Features und gameplay ist auch sehr schön! Wenn man an Langeweile stirbt in langen Autofahren dann is dieses Spiel perfect es ist Hart aber gut würde ich empfehlen !

Bugged
If you beat the first boss at the same time you get hit and die, even if you spend gems or watch an ad to revive, nothinh happens. The game will bug and you’ll be there, standing up doing an idle animation unable to move.
